My favourite racer as well as Bloodborne being my 2nd favourite game of all time. Both ignored like the plague in favour of 2019 game remasters that already work flawlessly on the current hardware. They are fucking insane.

Sony went from my favourite publisher to one of the worst in the span of 4 years. Quite an acomplishment by Jim and Hermen. Worst leadership in the company's history. Period. Not even the guy who will bankrupt the company eventually would be rated as poor as these 2 jokers.

I doubt that Driveclub would do this, as it’s a completely different kind of racer from Grand Turismo. It’d likely instead be a Motorsport vs Horizon situation where, people who like simcade would stick with the track/circuit racer, and people who like arcade antics would go with, well, the arcade one lol.

EA also remastered Hot Pursuit. They are the only ones bringing back licensed racing games.

Driveclub will never return because of the licences, same reason why it's so hard to re-release many other older racing games. What's actually depressing is that Motorstorm was never remastered. I'd buy that in an instant, even with a changed soundtrack.

There are (edit) 9 years between these two games and the older one (mostly) looks better, imagine it it did get the remaster (and even better, remake) treatment.... its not going to happen though, Evo is dead, the licenses expired and the game never sold that well to start with.
