sadly true. so many banks here in scotland/UK have fucked off. i get it... most people do online banking so it's just the way things are now. it's the older people who still cling on to cash, aren't good with technology, or just prefer going out a walk to their local bank to deal with things in person.

the first bank i went to finally shut down after 30+ years. it's now a subway (as in the sandwich place). my first debit card was actually from RBS. that shut down and used to be a funeral home but is now a dental practice. it was too far away for me so i moved back to the first bank but had too many problems with them so moved to another bank. this one is actually further away but still open. i don't care because i do everything online now and hate using cash. in the very rare situation where i need to put cash in my bank then i just go to the post office which takes deposits.

two other banks in my town have disappeared. one is still empty and the other is fuck knows what. probably a crappy £ shop. i don't know.

all the banks seem to be in the city center now which i guess makes more sense. i did have a Barclays account and the nearest one was there. if you really need to go to your bank then you likely have to go there now.

i'm happy with the 2 usb c ports on my Air. if they got rid of 1 usb C port and kept magsafe i'd be happy. if they ditched magsafe and kept 2 usb c ports i'd still be happy. they could completely remove the headphone jack too. i've never used it once lol.

my first macbook had a had magsafe, ethernet, 2x usb A, 1 firewire, mic input, headphone output, and DVD drive. don't need a DVD drive, headphone/mic jack, obviously don't need firewire, no need for ethernet, and USB C is better than A. i use my earphones over bluetooth and if i really need ethernet i can use my C to Ethernet adapter.

USB C is more than enough for most people. if you need access to other ports then buy dongles or a Pro.

i'm more pissed off about soldered RAM/SSD and difficult to remove batteries. my first Macbook i upgraded it from 2GB RAM to 8GB and replaced the HDD with an SSD. i did think about buying a new battery for it too but the laptop totally crapped out and died.

if i have a magsafe to charge the laptop then yeah one usb c is enough for me. i only rarely stick my usb c drive in to transfer large files.

if they ditch the magsafe then i'd need two usb c. one for charging and one for my drive.

i do everything else over wifi/internet/bluetooth.

Since I do transfers to my hard drive, use a wireless mouse, and regularly hookup to a tv, even two is annoying as hell for me

Other day when it was snowy and frosty I had some dickhead on my bumper with their lights blinding me the whole time while I was going down a steep hill doing the 40 mph speed limit.

It was 5.45 in the morning. Why they felt the need to make the roads less safe by speeding with stupid head lights in dangerous conditions I'll never know, fortunately they went a different way at the bottom of the hill.
