PlayStation’s Black Friday Deals kick off November 22

Sony’s sales and discounts, from hardware, to software of mediocre first party games, and sub subscription services are the return of early PS3 era arrogant Sony. In other words, these deals blow chunks.

I definitely miss those late Ps3 / early Ps4 times when they went all out on Black Friday and not only had a big weeklong sale but also cool flash sales with even bigger discounts on the actual black friday weekend. Sometimes they'd even throw in a discount code with an additional 10% off on your entire cart.

These days the best you can hope for is maybe 40% on a couple of 8-12 months old game.

Hmm that's psvr2 at 40% off seems really tempting. Do psvr owners think that's a good deal? I enjoyed psvr1 but it's was just too expensive. Really don't know if it's gonna get much cheaper than that

My wishlist is ready. Hoping Spider-man 2 is a good discount. Also looking for a good deal on Rise of the Ronin, Granblue Fantasy: Relink, Black Myth: Wukong, and more than 10% off ASTRO BOT.

Well then, is it time, is it time, is it!

Yes it is, no one cares but i have Ps+ since start, also played every cod on PlayStation except Blops 6 because gamepass...

Sony really likes to piss in their loyal fans mouths, so no more ps+ if its so fokking hard to give us some kind of deal.
I have like 16 months left on my gamepass so i can play online there instead.

Is it time!

Its worth every penny and there is alot of awsome games to play and more is on its way, i loved my psvr but psvr2 is on another level.

I bought mine for like 300€ for about 1 year ago (used in mint condition) it felt like a steal, its a must have imo.

Yeah it’s good and gets plenty of third party support

Behemoth should have some

What are your favorite titles?

Forgot to turn off auto-pay on my PSN account. It renewed yesterday, shit. Could have saved a bit more money. I only sub to Essential for online play anyway. So, maybe not much savings in that tier.

Games on my wishlist and hoping for a sale on some of these since I haven't really played any of the games of 2024 besides Helldivers 2.

- Black Myth Wukong
- Rise of the Ronin
- Astro Bot
- Final Fantasy Rebirth
- Demon's Souls (really late to the party on this one)

Yeah Steam sales aren't nearly as good as they used to be either, though at least for my country Steam offers regional pricing so it's still WAY cheaper than PSN.

But it's the industry at large that has moved away from big discounts. We also see many publishers (outside of a few like Capcom) that seemingly no longer do permanent price drops. They'll leave their games at full price for a long time and they'll just offer increasingly bigger discounts during sales. Even 3 years old games that didn't sell particularly well like Deathloop or Guardians of the Galaxy are still full price (though, of course, they put them on sale often). During the Ps3 era games like these would now be on some "greatest hit" collection permanently dropped down to $19.99.

PSVR2 will have big discount (-200€) in France , i will buy one.
And play 3 or 4 games and regret it later.

How much is it over there ?

I still don't know PSVR2's price over here in Euroland, PS direct has it for 650€ with horizon included, amazon for 20 more and the base pack (no games included) can be found for 450 on various e-shops...

So, what's the normal price ? what would the "right" price for this be durin the BF deals ?

Nice. Will get an Xbox, I mean PSVR2 if it is €400 or less. My local retailer has announced they will have it on sale but fuckers did not reveal the prices.

Just buy

GT7
RE4
RE8
NMS
Red Matter 1 and 2
Pavlov
Walking Dead 1 and 2
Synapse

And you won't regret it at all.

X, how do the PSVR2 games fare while sitting ?
The problem I have is that my TV sits on a desk in my studio and I have the Pro sitting on a drawer next to me - I basically have no room as to play games while standing, would that be a problem ?

I'm also interested in this,I'm hoping I can sit and game, would rather not be jumping and waving around my frontroom

40% off would make it what? $329 plus tax?

I think it depends on what you want to play.

I got mine off of eBay in basically perfect condition with all accessories plus the controller dock for $250 plus tax. I’m probably going to sell mine with the PC adapter once I’m done with Metro. As good as GT7 is in VR I still barely use it.

Let me guess brother, is it because it's a ball ache? Meaning, you actually have to grab the headset, put it on (which is already a - on its own), play some and then having to put everything back where it was instead of just - you know - grabbing your controller and turning on your TV ?

That and I generally get a headache after roughly 30-45 minutes.

I really like Metro though and I wanna get through it. I finished Alyx on it as well finally after years last week.

Not allowing current essential tier subscribers to add an extra year at a discounted price is such a grub move. Still have about 2 years left on mine so it's not an immediate concern but the direction we've headed this generation is not the right one. It's not just limited to the subscription. Games are taking far longer to get discounted and even then nowhere near as deep.

Are there any real offers at all? I have the feeling that everyone raises their prices first and then sells the product to the customer at the previous normal price with a supposedly discounted offer.
Check psprices that generally doesn’t happen
