Please play Prince of Persia everyone, it's a great game.
Bought the game to play on the go when it became steam deck verified. Then I found out you need to log into Ubisoft connect, so you can’t start the game offline. I fucking hate Ubisoft so much.

Europeans and Latin Americans are probably happy with Captain Tsubasa it's basically Anime FIFA with over the top super saiyan shots and goalie saves.

Bought Prince of Persia last year since launch, easily the best Ubisoft game in years.

I was actually looking to buy that particular Gundam game but the heavy visual novel aspects turned me off I guess I'll finally try it.

Rest is kinda meh except the Armored Cores I haven't played those since the 90s I hope this also means they'll try to bring the PS2 ones those are the peak of the franchise IMO.

Just bought the Switch version of The Lost Crown (it came today - you're all welcome). But maybe I'll return it and just play on PS+.

Prince of Persia and Syberia I ended up buying on sale not too long ago but good offering nonetheless.
Have always been interested by Captain Tsubasa so will probably end up checking out at some point. Never heard of Bang-On Balls but looks pretty fun unless it’s a party game rather than single player focused

Regarding Prince of Persia the lost crown :
Bought it a week ago aaaand...yeah, don't get your hopes up, it's your typical Metroidvania, BUT, the art direction is some truly God awful shit, ugly, Overwatch-like mickey mouse cartoonish bullshit, dialogues and voice overs that make you wanna tear your hair out with the difficulty being all over the place and the whole map/level layout annoying/convoluted for the sake of being convoluted.
The ONLY positives for me are the music (nice and atmospheric) and the controls which are pretty responsive.

I can't emphasize how truly awful the artwork/art-direction is in its Marvel-ization (wink*wink) and its stereotypical, boring and "diverse" characters, and as far as Metroidvanias go, there's MUCH better stuff than this (F.I.S.T , The Last faith, Blasphemous 1+2, Ghost Song etc etc).

It's a shame since it plays OK but everything else about it is incredibly "meh" and played to death by today's standards - and they tried to sell this at 60 Eurodollars ? Yeah, no

Playing Prince of Persia on a base PS5. Is anyone else experiencing frequent stutters/hitches in just about every scene? Agree with Giallo Corsa Giallo Corsa on the art style.

Hey Bender, yeah, there's definitely some traversal stutters especially when changing rooms.
It's there even on the PS5 Pro and from what I understand, it's gotta be masked loading...

Anyway, I'm halfway through the game (only missing the final power up/ability/"claw") and...the game doesn't get any better, only easier due to upgrading the health bar with the exception of the platforming which gets to truly frustrating levels, also, there's some puzzle rooms (where you clone yourself) which are just...bah.

It's just a mediocre Metroidvania with a God awful art-direction and nice atmospheric music.

I'm just gonna finish it for the usual Meteoidvania OCD reasons 'cause I'm not exactly having fun, everything feels oh-so-soulless.

Can't wait to finish this shit as to jump into The Last Faith...

How long is this game and do you recommend other titles over it?

I loved ori and was hoping pop would scratch same itch

James, it ain't a "bad" game brother, it's just that...when you've played a couple of Metroidvanias you've basic played them all and this one doesn't do anything better or much different compared to other ones...

I'd categorize it as a "filler" title, meaning, you boot it up, spend a couple of hours doing the usual Metroidvania shit, finish it after X hours and then immediately forget of its existence, it's just oh so friggin' boring , safe and bland.

I've got 22 hours logged and I haven't finished it yet, think i can squeeze another 5-6-8 hours out of it (the horror !).

I don't hate it, it's just forgettable...

With Castlevania Symphony of the night being a 10/10 :

- Ori 9/10
- F.I.S.T 7.5/10
- Moonscars 6.5/10
- Ghost song 7.8/10
- Blasphemous 8/10
- Guacamelee 7.5/10 (didn't like the art style though)

- Ender Lilies 6.5/10
- Sword of the vagrant 6/10
- Chasm 5.5/10
- Hollow knight : played it for 15 hours, dropped it since I felt like it didn't respect my time, too hard, too long, too bloated, too much backtracking.

These are the ones I can remember of ATM.

PoP the lost crown is a solid 7/10, I may absolutely loathe the art style (horrible) but I gotta be honest and objective, it isn't a a bad game.

F.I.S.T. Is another game on ps plus that’s on my list, maybe I should try that out next

I thought maybe the background Ubisoft login system was causing some issues but it sure is annoying. I only got to the first upgrade (bow) but the combat feels spongy and bosses (mini-bosses?) are a little dull. I'm not sure I'll continue.

Let me put it this way :
I love masocore games but, this game was just a ball breaker due to the difficulty spikes, started on Hard but after 5-6 hours, I turned the difficulty to medium and raised the parry timing to "long", shit just wasn't worth the time (nor the nerves).
It's a much more enjoyable experience this way 😉
