PlayStation Plus Price to increase in Canada

I just went through my purchase history to get clarity on how much the price has increased recently.

I subbed in April 2020 for $74.19.

2021 was also $74.19

2022 it went to $77.69 (not sure if they increased it or if it's because I moved to a province with slightly higher taxes)

2023 was also $77.69.

in fall 2023 I bought an extra year because they announced a price increase to $94.99.

My sub actually runs out tomorrow, I have the option of renewing for another year at $94.99.

They're now increasing it further to $109.99, effective mid-June.

Basically a 33% price increase in less than two years.

Feel bad for the scientists at the South Pole. Sunlight is rapidly dwindling each day right now and Sony just raised the PS+ price 'for them.

On a serious note, i agree the Sony decision making on the Plus increase is strange.
 
Nothing strange on them wanting to provide much better PS + values in terms of better quality PS+ offerings.

There won't be any change in quality and quantitiy. It is just to cheap as is to continue it that way, devalueing buying anything, especially when MS and GP isn't moving customers away. If you are a VR2 owner you migth be getting some VR games which is somewhat more content than for the rest.
 
The subscription has provided countless high quality Playstation Plus games to its valued customers. I'll say its worth continuing to subscribe to it.

In fairness, the value of the loonie has also tumbled compared to the American dollar.
