That is a terrible excuse.

It is basically saying "my social media account is not secure as my password has been compromised and I didn't have 2 factor authentication enabled, potentially giving hackers access to other sensitive information". On top of all the Russian hacking, Russian collusion, and "Hillary emails!!!" that's a worse look than just saying "I wasn't paying attention and made a mistake".

There is so much (accidental and purposeful) wrong doing and chaos they are getting trapped in their own framework of criticism and blame shifting.

I thought the image was supposed to be some weird backwards satire on how conservatives were painting themselves as victims when I first saw it, but it's serious so I don't know how one reacts to that level of mindfuck now so...

Ellison probably feels like he's "owed" the position, due to all the support.

The head of the DNC doesn't work like that, though. It's not really meant to be a politically motivated role, at least in the sense that the most endorsed gets it.

It's pretty difficult to be much more of a disaster than 2017's administration currently is. I'm banking that a second term of Trump could beat it though. Lets hope we never find out.
