It's not. It's about intent and why you're making a gaffe. I can forgive honest screwups made in error. (Pretty sure there was a GOP one this cycle I had to pour cold water on.) I can't forgive ones that betray information about you.

This one hits on two fronts. One is the "where the F is your basic level of decorum on this subject." And this is getting amplified by the "all politics is local" thing, because having grown up in NOVA and experienced 9/11 through that lens, seeing someone who wants to run for VA office making that comment really rubs me the wrong way. And so the boring ex-military default option seems pretty ok to me.

I didn't have much of an opinion on the race before this and was going to look into it later. This flipped me off of him immediately.

First, it's a big gaffe and he apologized.

Second, "this subject" doesn't mean much here. We use a lot of terms that refer to terrible incidents. I get that it's personal to you, and no one has to justify why they feel something about a particular subject, but you've got to understand why other people don't really care about it.

This isn't really an issue if you run a real administration where you actually manage things. Trump can't be arsed to fill half the positions below Cabinet-level because he doesn't even know what positions need to be filled and what they do. This is how you get holdovers from past admins, and how you get employees to openly disrespect you.

I mean, it's not even like the IC is breaking into stuff to steal class info to leak; they're just not giving the usual "no comment" when asked about shit going on. That's textbook loyalty issues for the boss, and it's his fault it's happening.

The CIA has an official historian, they write their own history and it's subject to FOIA. Some of that shit is still kept secret, but most of this stuff is public record.
Now yeah, you can claim that they kept all of their successes super secret, but if you look at history, pretty much everything the CIA fought really hard to keep a secret were their failures, in fact, they usually parade every success that they have all over the news (think about how many times you read stories about the Al Qaeda number 2 getting killed).

Also, public records from other countries/agencies don't seem to support that super secret CIA victories theory.

The CIA is however really good at cultivating relationship with US media and with Hollywood, which is in large part how they built this image of this amazing super-spy agency, even though they're such a complete failure in achieving the goal for which it was created that no one really even seriously task them with that job.

Don't be dramatic. Any process to change things will take YEARS, and if EU really is as economically beneficial as we say then the economical hit will be seen way before too many states leave of EU.

If leaving EU actually benefits the economies of countries in question.. well then. Perhaps the nature of EU and Euro should be questioned. But if something is broken, I prefer fixing it instead of just discarding it.
