All my tats for the moment, sorry for such a big post. I want more.
Sorry, but those are just awful. The tattoo "artist(s)" should be banned.

Wrists: One Ring Inscription
Forearms: Squares the size of Rubik's cubes
Collarbone: Star Wars emblems (Jedi, Sith, Mandalorians, Empire, Rebellion)
Holy crap, this is awesome! Definitely keep us updated as it progresses.
Could any artist get anywhere close to this?
1: If you have a style in mind and an image that shows it bring it. Also don't go to any tattoo artists, talk to a few, express your ideas, look at their previous works. Get a feel for them.
2: Like I said talk to a bunch of them, decent tattoo artists will give you the time of day and talk to you about what they excel at and what they don't. Also if you have friends with tattoos talk to them about their experiences and see who they prefer.
3: This question is kinda hard for me to answer but I generally hear most tattoo artists charge between 75-100$ an hour. I find this part hard to judge because you don't know how much time they devote to sketching and drawing your tattoo before hand. For what it is worth though my artist is a family friend of mine and I usually end up paying 50$ an hour plus a tip.

Nice, I really like the placement of the Star Wars symbols. Any reason you decided to just get them all black and not colour?
If he started a good diet and exercised daily, I don't see why not
Hey I have sheep too!

I am curious as to how well this tattoo ages. One of the advantages of good American Traditional and other simple designs is that they should look almost as good thirty years from the day it was etched on your skin. I've heard the incredibly detailed ones like this don't fare as well.

Damn.
What area hurts the most? I was thinking the back because of the bone and shit.
Planning on getting one..someday.
Nice. Gotta ask though, how much did that hurt? I know you have more tattoos elsewhere so you can compare what's hurt the most lol. I've been playing with the idea of getting something in the same place and partly on my stomach to hide some ugly ass surgery scars but not for a long time yet and not if I can forget about the scars after they've become less red. Anyway I'd be too much of a chicken to get anything that big there Also I'm ticklish there so I can imagine twitching and jumping during the tattooing and punching the artist in the head as a reflex. Back tattoos were easy.

I love tattoos, and some of them are amazng... but when I see half assed or cliched designs with wiggly lines and poor styling, I cringe. If I ever get one, Im spending a lot fo money to get it right.
It bothers me. The problems I have with mine can easily be addressed with a touch up. I've just been too lazy and cheap to get one and my ink doesn't look bad anyway so I've put it off. In the future, I have every intention of sparing no expense and making sure my next tattoo is done by someone with an outstanding portfolio. Simply working in or owning a tattoo parlor isn't enough for me to pull the trigger.

Isn't that awkward to explain? And as 'cute' as it is, that's there forever... if I get one, it's going to be a design that means a lot to me - something, perhaps, that I design myself so I can wear it with pride. My own crest or symbol or something.
*Edit* Just as another point too, I love the idea of getting a Hindu Om symbol on my upper back or something - but I wouldn't because it's a religious graphic and I'm not Hindu. Does that make sense? It looks cool, I guess, but it represents something that I am not.
This is my most recent, got about two months ago. Pic was taken right after I got it. It's a take on the classic Sailor Jerry pin-up girl, but obviously a guy. Because I'm gay and awesome and clever.
This is my girlfriends tattoo (as I'm too much of a pussy to get one). She got it 2 years ago, she's hoping to get about 1000 more, but you know I won't let her.

3rd tattoo!
I love this. Wonder if someone can draw up an Aztec warrior in the same style.
So, this is a tattoo that I immensely enjoy. I don't want to just straight copy it, but I wouldn't mind something similar to it. Please pardon the footer, I hate myself for even finding it on that site, but its the only one I could find.
