I found these videos really interesting & its really understandable how much he hates the press.

As unrelated as he is the royal family. He's earned his royalty.

Wish he got to be King after watching these videos.

Harry is a pretty cool guy. He started off using tanks, then switched over to Attack choppers. He likes being in the shit I guess.

He actually looks pretty good. Weird that he now looks more like his mother while william looks like his dad. Seemed the opposite when they were kids.

I like how he basically told the BBC he didn't want them there.

I'm not going to say I feel sorry for the guy, but it must really suck sometimes to be forced to live such an inane lifestyle.

For Harry it must always suck, especially after experiencing Afghanistan.

he was infantry before right? I knew I wasn't imagining. well good on him, Apaches save the lives of the doggies on the ground and he wants to help and be fighting in Afghanistanall the more power to him.

I always feel like being born into royalty must be one of the worst things to happen to a person. I mean yeah, it's great you don't ever have to worry about money again. You have tons of power and influence, but you're essentially porn into a prison for the rest of your life, your freedom absolutely restricted by what you're allowed and not allowed to do.

Oh, you want to go see a movie with some friends? Great, these 50 armed men will come with you. Dinner out? Same thing. And of course, your dating pool drastically shrinks to almost nothing by that point.

Yeah no way I could take on the work and loss of a privacy being a royal.

The Queen and her sense if duty and tradition always astounds me with how much she puts in and it's spread to her kids and grandchildren.

They all graft and do thier service.

I always imagine it must be insanely boring having to go to functions all over the country over and over again. Sure some of it is fun, but there must be constant repetition of trivial crap. The queen was clearly bored as fuck during her jubilee.

When being under fire in Afghanistan is when Harry feels the most normal, you know it can't exactly be the easiest life.

Yeah right poor royal dude, cause regular average joes have it so easy in life. I respect the guy for doing service but i can't feel sorry for him beyond that, he has loads of money and people at his service, that there solves 80% of the problems regular people living in the real world have.

Edit: i'm talking about royal families in general, the kid lost his mother in a horrible way, i imagine if it wasn't for that and his asshole father he'd probably be a lot happier with his life.

Harry as king of Great Britain would be as refreshing as Ron Paul as U.S. president. Those two would do these countries a huge deal of good, but you know it's sadly not very likely to happen.

Meh. It's a different kind of sympathy I feel for him.

I have no affection for any sort of monarchy (ask Suairyu), but since Harry will almost certainly never become king, his life must seem especially trivial sometimes. He's living this stupid lifestyle that clouds any sort of real accomplishment and won't even get a goddamn crown for his efforts.

I wouldn't trade my life for his in a heartbeat. I have a below-average salary and no people at my service.

My life is much easier and more appealing than his.

I'm not saying he isn't privileged or that we should be outpouring in sympathy for him, as he has wonderful opportunities in life and will get to go places and meet people we could only dream of, but you're taking a stupidly naive point of view that a completely public life (and the Royal Family's lives are probably the most public of anyone else in the world) is desirable in comparison to a normal life if there's a degree of luxury about it. From my perspective, it's slavery with benefits. He doesn't have a choice in the matter.

This man speaks the truth; he doesn't respect his betters at all.

There really isn't anything refreshing about that archaic, parasitical bloodline carrying on its reign. It's a national embarrassment.

Which is different from the average joe...how? In fact, if you consider the "tons of power and influence and money" part, that sounds like a hell of a lot more agency over his own life than a janitor gets to have.

That is bullcrap.

I don't see any evidence of it damaging Britain's relations with other nations or its own affairs, as the term "embarrassment" would mean. Quite the opposite, in fact. I'm not keen on the monarchy from a principle standpoint, but Britain is likely better off - both nationally and internationally - with one.

Not really though, it's not like the Royal Family has any actual power and they do provide a net profit for the tax payer.

Plus it must be handy to have them to greet other national delegates.

I'd rather be in his position. His brother has all the pressure whereas he can just chill and enjoy the posh lifestyle and get all the perks without the hassle. With all the money/powre he has he can do something he truly loves.

That is bullcrap.

Explain. Your average pleb tends to be trapped in the same socio-economic position for the rest of his/her life. They can't go wherever they want, whenever they want and they don't have limitless wealth behind them for when shit goes awry.

He doesn't enjoy the posh lifestyle - he prefers being on tour to his Royal life. He doesn't have power. Money, yes. Influence, yes. Power, no.

Everything you just wrote (minus the wealth aspect) applies to members of the Royal family, as well.

I am an average pleb (below average, according to average income figures) and I have more freedom than Prince Harry. I don't have as expensive things as he does, but I can indulge in a game of strip billiards without having my arse on every newspaper front-page in the world, too. I don't have to negotiate with press what they can and cannot print about me. I don't have a million responsibilities given to me by my birth that I must attend. If I work for it and with a little luck, I can have a career of my choosing for the rest of my life. I don't have to talk to anybody I don't want to. I don't have to watch what I say in fear of causing an international incident. I'm free to dress up as a nazi like lots of other people at a fancy dress party. When my parents die, I won't have have to manage my emotions at their fucking funeral as hundreds of cameras capture and analyse my every facial twitch.

My life is far more desirable than Prince Harry's.

Any institution professing a God-given superior bloodline that enriches them with immense wealth and power and an unchallengeable rule over the rest of us is completely abhorrant to me. Almost laughably so. I know their true power is now massively limited and controlled, but in some ways that makes their status even more embarrassing... as if we need them to give us a national identity of elegance and prestige when they're really just one big metaphor for the rich/poor divide.

It's worth having a royal family just so they can piss on all the people like you in this world.

He's earned his royalty.
LOL, what?
Monarchy isn't earned, people are tricked into thinking god anointment someone to rule over them.
And shit, if serving in the military was enough earn your right to be a monarch, you'd have more kings than Game of Thrones.

I'd trade my lifestyle for one of they boy-princes in a heart beat. Well, maybe not William because he seems boring as fuck. But Harry, dude? I'd invite the press to a strip joint, make them all drink deadly amounts of liquor on my tab, and make them all swear oaths to me in their weakness.
