Beat this game last night, would have gone for the platinum but one of the side quests is bugged. I wasn't too far off.
Great Metroid-style game, bursting with good ideas and made good use of them. It's obviously done by the Rayman Legends people. The backgrounds are just jaw-dropping and have to be some of the best in any side scrolling game ever. Levels were so much fun to explore once you got the powers, but it took a bit too long to get the powers. There is some genuinely tricky and fun platforming here that feels very rewarding to get through. The pacing is kind of off, which is a common problem with Metroid-style games, but it was quickly forgotten. I don't really like the parryshit gameplay here, and the bosses were annoying skill checks, but once you figured them out they weren't too bad, mostly.
The story and characters are abysmal. I don't know why they ripped off the Black Panther guy for the main, it's ridiculous. The story makes NO sense. It's just a bunch of shit. I couldn't even tell you what happened. It was total nonsense. But, that's a small complaint. I think the game is $30 now, it was bomba, and worth playing at that price although it will likely be much cheaper soon.
