There's more but these are the ones I can think of atm.
I still use mine as a DVD player most of the time.160 million dvd players. Not saying that it wouldn’t have done well without it. But the first entree level lowest priced dvd player during first launch years at the time helped a lot. Some individuals just bought it for that, not a game machine.
And Dreamcast was still better somehow. Amazing.
Clever of them to say "Over" so they can just keep making up numbers each time the Switch get's close. "170 is over 160" "220 is over 160"
If they know the total, they should say the total.

When will the lies END!?
Unless you stole those PS2s directly from Sony or got them replaced, it’s likely they were sold, no?That's made not sold. I owned two PS2's, I'm not doubting it was popular but Sony are claiming that 160+ million were sold, that picture if it is proof says 160.6 million were made, and that's why it doesn't make sense. Things like the yellow light issue that PS2's had would have led to lots of replacements but those 2 numbers can't account for them.

The backwards comparability is so understated. I remember playing PS1 games on mine for about the first 3 months before I got Gran Turismo 3.The PS2 was truly a three entree console. PS1 games, PS2 games, and DVD playback.

Somebody’s feeling the heat of the Switch.

If you two want to believe that in 13 years of production that Sony didn't replace, lose, have damaged in transport, stolen or gave away any more than 636,884 consoles allowing them to sell at least 160,000,001 consoles then that's fine. I'll think the number etched in the picture has to be incorrect if they did sell 160 million. And they are telling you it sold over 160M.
Sure, but then it’s the same for every other manufacturer. 85M Xbox 360 sold includes the myriad replaced because of the RROD hardware failure. Can’t single out the PS2.If you two want to believe that in 13 years of production that Sony didn't replace, lose, have damaged in transport or give away any more than 636,884 consoles allowing them to sell at least 160,000,001 consoles then that's fine. That's going to be the case for any console. Are you going to suggest Xbox or Switch sales numbers are actually less than reported as well?
Where have I said otherwise? I want to know the exact total of sold PS2s, that picture claims they produced over 160 million but by such a small amount that it's unlikely they could have sold 160 million. So let's ignore it and go back to my original post. That applies to any console
Actually applies to anything sold.
