The fact that PCs had this is not going to make Bllodborne or Until Dawn etc. run better, will it? You get the idea. This is a big deal for exclusive games.

No chance of anyone manually tasking the CUs. The task delegation there has got to be automated. This is why something like this boost mode is going to be far more safer/stable than that PS3 SPE unlock hack, even if it's not just a clock boost.

Another part of the problem with unlocked SPEs on the PS3 is they were disabled to increase yields, so errors in them are quite possible which would definitely cause all sorts of issues.

Finally! Another game I've been holding out on due to perf issues, was always hyped for TEW but framerate on consoles (esp on ps4 amateur) seemed so atrocious.

I don't care if it's just a few frames. I really enjoy even small boosts like this. It's what made playing MH4U on a new 3ds so novel compared to a regular 3ds.

That's my expectation. I expect the same can of difference between PS4 pro and PS4 than Xbox One and Xbox One S.

GTA Online runs completely differently, it was running at sub 30 fps when I was playing online free roam a couple of days ago, explosions can also see dips in the 20 fps range.
