You think it's just a poem set to music? Kool Moe Dee, Whodini, LL Cool J, Jidenna, etc used real instruments for their melodies. So what they didn't play the instruments themselves? Most singers don't.
Again, no talent? So you can write something as lyrically complex as Not Like Us or Euphoria or Humble? Or something that fuses hip hop and other genres like Cool Like Dat (rebirth of slick) or Walk This Way? Or something as meaningful as Dear Mama or Good Day?

Hip Hop has some of the best music/beats of all time even if you don’t like the fact that a lot of it is simply people talking fast and the themes can be really eh.

I think that's probably reductive, he had a trove of compromising material, and people knew that, but he also couldn't really release any of it without incriminating himself.
I don't think he was actively blackmailing people, it was more like mutually assured destruction. It protected him from the law because you couldn't take him down without taking down a lot of powerful elites.
I don't think he'd have gotten where he did if he was just straight up extorting people. And I think what he did probably goes a lot deeper than just the sex trafficking stuff, but we'll probably never know for sure.

There is inventive sampling, and there is rote sampling. I agree it's lame when someone takes a song, throws a beat under it, and calls it a day. But then you have samples that are made nearly unrecognizable and create something original out of it. That's the good stuff.
