Queen Elizabeth II has passed away

One of the most historically consequential deaths of my lifetime. Wild to think that she had already been queen for a decade when The Beatles were first making waves in the UK.

RIP.
 
Wow. Incredibly sad, but as a monarchist, feel very privileged to have lived during the reign of such an extraordinary historic figure and someone who dedicated her whole life to her country as it transitioned from the devastation of WW2 and the end of Empire into the modern era. Incredible human being.

She has seen everything. Advent of airplanes, rise of Internet, TV, radio, WW2, collapse of Soviet Union, a lot of wars, EU, Brexit and even modern war in Europe.
