Under this weighty tome are yet more surprises: a notebook containing 104 pages from Thom Yorke's library of scrawled notes of the time, a sketchbook containing 48 pages of Donwood and Tchock's 'preparatory work' and a C90 cassette mix tape compiled by us, taken from OK COMPUTER session archives and demo tapes.

I normally wouldn't mind dropping the cash on the box set, but I just came around on this album last week. I don't feel right getting it. I'll get the regular vinyl.

The release date looks to be the day they play Glastonbury. As someone with a ticket, i'm pretty hyped for that setlist now.

Whoa! This is some Radiohead holy grail type of stuff. I'm in for sure, just debating if I need all the bells and whistles that go along with this or not (i'm weak and i'm sure i'll cave).

Hmmm... let's see. I already have the original CD I bought the day it first came out, all the CD-singles with their B-sides, the 3-disc set AND the vinyl record. Should I get this for just 3 songs?

If you're getting the box set, that comes with session outtakes and demos too!

That's what I want to know more about. For $120 I want the lineage of engineers and info on who mastered it and where. Also a pressing plant too.

This all sounds good in theory but the remaster could sound like butt like those Capitol reissues from years back (AKA the new XL reissues which use the same stampers and poor mastering job).

The band wasn't involved in (and hated) the EMI "collector's edition" reissues.

it's a shame then that they let XL use those same stampers then. I re-purchased Kid A just to see and both the capitol/xl reissues had the same matrix codes in the dead wax except capitol was X'd out and an XL was placed next to it.

Regular vinyl is fine for me, just for nostalgia's sake. I burned out on Radiohead back in the early 00s. Very curious about the remastered Big Boots, though.

I'll do what I did with AMSP and grab the 24-bit WAVs.

Its kinda amazing for me. Both AMSP and this release(d) the week before my vacation. It's like they want me to play them on the drive.

Also if you're not down to drop 120 on a box set, they're releasing a limited edition blue vinyl exclusive to independent record stores on the 23rd of June, same price as the standard vinyl.

I'm in for the extra tracks and unreleased tracks, but I'm cautious for the remaster. Hopefully it doesn't come out to be overly compressed and loud like I think it will. I mean, OKC already sounds great. Hopefully there are some demos and outtakes as well.

Does anyone think the box set will still have the 3 records in those awesome sleeves?

However in the 20 years since the original release mastering technology has improved a lot,and with new equipment and techniques we can make a digital version that's an improvement of the original transfer.

Typed by somebody who's not listened to the mastering on the last 3 Radiohead albums, clearly.

This will sound worse than the original. I'm looking forward to the bonus tracks though.
