Resident Evil Revelations ESRB rated for Xbox Series

Meh, that series is boring and frankly mediocre

Besides why is Claire in Revelations 2 Tobey's Maguire sister?

Raid mode is the only redeeming quality of Revelations 1, but the series itself screams budget trash. The early 2010s were truly dark times for the series.

make sure the pudding isn't too soggy but that just ruins everything
if they fix the aiming on Rev1 i'd actually want to play it. doubt they will though.

Revelations 1 was good and the setting was great, but they should've removed the scanning option. It's an unnecessary chore if you're not playing it on 3DS and doesn't make sense you just can't walk up to the loot and pick it up. Not a big fan of Revelations 2 and its locations.

Resident Evil 6 rated for current-gen, Resident Evil: Revelations rated for current-gen... are they going to do some sort of weird collection of RE5, RE6, RE:R and RE:R2 running at 4K/120 or is this one in particular getting the "Deluxe Remaster" treatment due to it's 3DS origins?

I always associate these games with when RE franchise hit rock bottom.

Personally didn't think they where that bad, but definitely bottom of the barrel for re games.

Revelations had a lot of potential. It harkened back to the claustrophobic 3D metroidvania design of the earlier series and - at moments - nailed the Spencer Mansion vibes. The problem was they interspersed it with way too much episodic guff happening elsewhere and a bunch of God-awful jump-the-shark lore about Terragrigia and the BSAA that no one cared about. The derelict ocean liner overrun with monsters that you open up gradually was a brilliant concept though - could have been excellent if they'd have committed to it.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
I thought it already was via the BC stuff?

It is, this is the third or fourth ESRB re-rating for a game that's already BC on the current consoles.

Not sure what's going on with these listings. Nothing has come out of any of them and Capcom haven't commented or announced anything on them.

Just looks like someone at ESRB is re-listing them for seemingly no reason.

Revelations was excellent for a 3DS game. It has no place on current gen consoles.
While I wouldn't agree that it has no place on current consoles (just because having a modern way to play it is great), I do agree that it was great on 3DS. I didn't expect to see the hate for it when I clicked this thread.

Most games from old dedicated handhelds don't hold up as well on modern non-handheld platforms.

It's probably just a "next gen" update that allows higher resolution/framerate.

A lot of haters, but whatever. Revelations 1 was pretty good during the Jill sections, the Chris sections were okay, and garbage during the other characters’ sections. Revelations 2 kicked ass the whole way through. I’m down for a Revelations 3 especially if they make it on par with 2.
