Rum Sodomy and the Lash is my personal favorite album of theirs. One of the very first LPs I got after getting into records.

Shane is a legend and I will happily raise a glass tonight in his memory and honor.

BUT Fairytale of New York is the best Christmas song ever made and it always will be. They have both been immortalised over the Christmas period.

Was never a huge Pogues fan though Rum, Sodomy and The Lash is a great album. He was a hell of a wordsmith, too much drink and drugs but he's not the first musician to be guilty of that.

Man this sucks. I saw the pogues play a bunch of times. I wasn't the biggest fan of their records but their live shows were awesome. Anytime I had chance to go see them I was there. Most of the time I didn't even know the songs they were playing but I didn't care, those gigs were fun as fuck. RIP Shane. You are counted.
