Hellblade 2 for PS5 announcement is coming soon & Jez did only speculate it might be at the SoP. Never said it would be, tbf.

Tom Warren hinting that April could be a big month for PS5 gamers led me to believe there would be a slew of Microsoft releases that month (Forza Horizon 5, Indiana Jones, and maybe now Hellblade 2). These games are different enough and Microsoft has seemingly such a stacked year perhaps they could all be releasing in April/May window

Hellblade 2 was a stunning visual showcase but the actual game itself was as dull as dishwater. I really don't see this doing well on PS5 if they are going to port it and sell it at full price. At least on Xbox and PC you could try it on GamePass without feeling like you've wasting your money or time on it.

Games like Hellblade probably do much better on consoles. They're the antithesis of what sells on PC.

Great game, probably even better than the first one when it comes to setting up the mood and sticking with it. Also, combat is way better purely on the visceral level. Considering it is a sequel for a game that was on PS, should have been there from day1.

Stick drift is actually a good thing for this game. She will automatically walk and talk without you have to do anything.

Only way for devs to recoup costs is to release on competitors platforms.

Doesn't take a genius to understand that Game Pass earnings can't do that.

I would recommend $20 tops. I would really say wait for it to be $10, just as a graphic showcase.

With 2/3 of consumer spending on Xbox actually occuring through Playstation platforms lately, I don't think porting costs are a big worry.
