What disappoints me most is the fact that I have to defend my eagerness to buy HB2 as a PS-owner, without the backup of @DenchDeckard, adamsapple , @Ozriel or vaibhavpisal .

Never imagined I'd ever be in this situation.
It was even supposed to be the generation defining title.

Gamepass it I would say.

Could be a good buy for $30.

Will get 10-12 hrs out of it. Also is a mild game so will finish it quickly. Might feel short changed for full price.

I'll get HB2 for 15 eurodollars or so. I enjoyed the first enough to buy the second one at discounted price.

But yes, State of Decay 2. That's the MS IP I care the most about except potentially ES6. Quite a fun experience and such a unique single player & 2-4 co-op game. Excited for SoD 3 in 2026/2027. And given its co-op support (which could potentially drive more sales) and SoD 3 being around the corner, it would make a lot of sense to get it on the PS5 asap to start building a community around the IP.

The effort to port to PS5 is probably not very much of a lift being an unreal engine game and the consoles being so similar. There's a good chance a lot of the fans of the original game would be on PlayStation, arguably because its predecessor released their exclusively and got a bunch of special marketing from Sony. That plus the fact that for most games, most sales come from consoles and PlayStation has multiple times the install base of Xbox. The decision is likely going to be profitable so probably worth it.
