They want to get all their games onto as many platforms as possible, so not a shock. The real uncertainty is will this be day 1 on PS5 or at a later date.

The same thing happened with ND job postings. People here dismissed experience with nvidia tech in job postings and then a few years later ND themselves ported TLOU to PC.

But, PSN is listed between 2 that we already know it will be on.
And let's be real they haven't officially announced any platforms where this game is going yet. People are just assuming it's coming to Series X and S, but there is nothing official (that I've seen) suggesting that.

On job postings, they tend to cast wide nets in order to attract the right developers. If they made it too restrictive, the number of applicants they would get would be vastly reduced as you're halving the people who can apply.
For example, if you were advertising for a Java Developer you'd want experience with a cloud platform i.e. AWS, Azure or GCP. The actual job would likely use only one of those. Having experience with one of them will help as they all share common traits and the skills are easily transferable.
Quote me if I'm wrong, but this is just a standard job advert. Have a look around at any of them and you'll never see them requiring one specific toolset, framework or platform as otherwise they'd be shooting themselves in the foot.

Should have hired better talent for that one.
I care about gears and halo for the multiplayer. These games being available everywhere day 1 with xplay is a win for me. I loved gears 5 but the mp died as did halo infinites mp.
But yes also this means nothing and shouldn't be a thread.

However. The job listing if applied to any other profession, for me. Key words "or other". Would imply to me they want someone with that transferrable type of experience. It doesn't necessarily mean they will be working on the list of platforms.

There's no doubt that it's coming to PS5 too. Question is will it be day 1 or a year later? The game is potentially years away and Microsoft may already be fully multiplatform by then.

I don't understand this argument if I am being honest because no one is buying Gamepass for years on end to play a single gameOr ... $240 on Xbox for only one year. $70 for PS5 for life.
$70 also gets you the game for life on Xbox or the $240 year keeps getting you games on Xbox
Granted it would do bigger numbers on PS that I have no doubt but this argument aint it
