I miss summer already :(
Yeah, nah. It can stay the fuck away as far as I'm concerned.

I've been fucking miserable all summer long, especially with the smoke. It was absolutely horrible, I've never seen anything like it before, and my asthma has been murdering me.

I have never been so excited to see the rain. The air smelled lovely this morning.

Loving not having the sun and heat in my life anymore. Bring on overcast, cold and rainy days for the rest of the year and beyond, please.

Anyone else heading to the Zelda Symphony tonight?

In other Paramount news- anyone else going to Hamilton in Feb/Mar next year? Still debating if I feel like forking over $600 for that. If it was the original cast, I'd do it in a heartbeat, but they've all been replaced at this point.

Wife and I are going in February. Friends got extra tickets and every time I offer to pay for ours he just changes the subject. At least I tried. Like fifteen times.

You’ll never get the original cast on a national tour, and I bet it’s still amazing. Whether it’s $600 amazing? I can’t make that decision for you.

My wife and I are seeing Hamilton, but it's because we got Broadway @ Paramount season tickets for $600 each back in January. Not $600 just for Hamilton.

It's the best

After spending a few days there, I'm fairly sure I agree? I haven't traveled much so it's not like I have a ton to base it against, but I thought pretty much everything there was really great. I'd love to see more of it next time I go, but next time it might be for good. I was not expecting it to make the impression that it did.

Everyone come in and throw virtual tomatoes at your favorite resident. :p

Is there an open to the public component to this celebration? Assuming no, but figured I'd check.

Oh what, i missed it.

I enjoyed it, but as someone who's listened to orchestral Zelda music before and specifically heard a lot of the arrangements performed it wasn't quite as impressive as I was hoping. Still a cool experience, though, and the new arrangements I did hear were fantastic. They closed on a great Link's Awakening compilation and a super creative rendition of Goron City from Breath of the Wild. Found a crappy cam version of a performance of it from another city if you care to sample:

They'll be performing in Portland soon (if they havent already?) and they'll be in Vancouver in November if you still want to catch it.

Was at Urban Family on Monday and they tapped Mango-sicle the next day, shit.

Going to their tap takeover in Lake City in a bit though, hopefully they have it there.

Also, seeing Richie Hawtin at Q tonight!

Visited Seattle for a few days for work and I forgot how much I miss it there. Was at a team outing on Lake Union doing one of those rent a boat things. It was such a perfect day to be out there.

Arghhh, I wanted to go to this so bad but didn't know any friends that were going. Then a friend ended up going last minute and I saw snaps and it looked amazing. I live like a 5 minute walk from Q, too.

Hey again Seattle GAF. To celebrate my visit. I'm giving away a fandango gift card worth $25. All I ask is that you use it to watch Blade Runner 2049.
I'll randomly decide from the people who quote this post!

What now? That's amazing. BR2049 has been my most anticipated movie this year.

So I’ve had an interesting last week. Wasn’t feeling good, so I went to Urgent Care last Sunday. They said I had pneumonia and gave me antobiotiocs but asked me to come back the next day. Ended up being sent to the UW ER before getting admitted into Cardiac ICU early Tuesday morning. Found out a I had mitral valve regurgitation in my heart so I had open heart surgery on Wednesday and finally get to go home tomorrow morning. My wife has been with me the whole time and my parents have been up helping getting our daughter to school and keeping everything at home normal for her.

The last week was scary, but I’ve apparently got a strong heart or I might not have survived the valve problems for a while. And I have to lay off running at least six, months, which is so not a big deal all things considered.

Crazy couple weeks.

I don't think I've ever seen a movie with Ryan Gosling, might as well end the streak?

That's what my dad has too. He went in a few years ago after all his siblings and us told him he needed to get a physical and they found that same problem you had. When he was recovering he would stand in front of the open freezer in the middle of the night and have an ice pop. He did that for a long stretch. He's doing great.

Take it easy on yourself. How old are you, might I ask? I probably have this in my future too.

I don't want the gift card, but thanks for being generous (and spreading the good word.)

Damn that's wild and scary as hell. Glad that it sounds like your recovery is going well.

Holy shit! Glad you're okay!!!
Wouldn't you want a gaffer to nurse you to health?

The nurses I’ve had at UW have all been amazing. Never been hospitalized before and my only real interaction in a hospital was when when my wife gave birth.

You people are wonderful.
