Love the way Air Max 97s look, but I tried them on in store and damn they are not comfy, at least coming off the flyknit trainers and ultraboost I've been wearing lately.

Know this problem. My air max 95s and 97s are collecting dust, great designs but just total bricks
^^This is why I never understood the idea of making Yeezys as limited releases. There is clear demand and you're leaving money on the table to appeal to hypebeasts.

I mean don't take my word for it as comfort is somewhat subjective. Do you have store nearby you can try them on? When I tried em on, the sold just felt haaaaaard. Thanks, was looking into getting one.

I wear my 97s all the time and don't have any complaints with comfort, but yeah, ymmv. I've had boost and didn't find it to be anything special, so I'm kinda glad because it keeps the door open for me to grab so many other styles. Boost designs are 90% boring-ass bullshit to my eye. 🙃

Agreed. Kanye keeps saying he wants to make Yeezys available for the masses (which seems pretty genuine) but it's like Adidas themselves want to limit how many are available... Like, it's not like they're going to lose money on selling more Greylugas over trying to sell a pair of Superstars in a whack-ass colorway that'll sit well past clearance price.

They are leaving immediate money on the table but gaining something much more valuable in the long term: prestige. The clout of Yeezys has been the main catalyst in Adidas overtaking Jordan brand in the last couple years. And the trend continues...
What sneaker models you think are not boring? Not being confrontational, just wondering.
I think one of his goals was to have a product as iconic and synonymous as the Ralph Lauren Polo shirt. Yeezy certainly fits the bill.
He says that and I never buy it. Hasn't his releases with Nike been limited too (I recall hearing something about 5000 pairs per colourway of the Yeezy 2 and I haven't heard anything about the Yeezy 1s)? It seems like Kanye is more interested in hype than availability given his actions, bc he has enough pull to where he can go to Adidas and say "listen, produce and sell more Yeezys." The funny thing is, one of Adidas's guys kept mentioning how materials are limited, which affects production and yet doesn't realize that the Ultra Boost, NMDs, EQTs, etc are still readily available to the market without having to rely on the materials excuse.
lads, I don't get the hype for the balenciaga triple s and speed trainer, not only are they expensive but they also weigh a tonne (not surprised the triple s weighs a tonne but the speed trainer is heavier than I thought it would be) and the comfort isn't anything to write home about. Do not get the hype at all!
Just seems like standard luxury brand hype to me. Balenciagas just to stunt and show people you've got Balenciagas.
I know but iirc he also wanted "everyone" to have them. idk if that meant walmart like distribution but it's too bad it's not like Jordan-esque.I vaguely remember hearing that and agree that at least the Yeezy silhouette (either the 350s or the 750s) are as recognizable as the RL Polo logo imo.
Thoee eqt ultra, how does it compare to an ultraboost on comfort?
By EQT ultras i think you mean the ones that are like a 93/16. it has the exact same midsole as an ultraboost, so theoretically it should feel the same. I have 2 pairs actually, but i havent gotten a chance to wear them outdoors yet.
Now if you really meant the EQT 93/17s those are more comfy than UBs. Mushier and softer, but not great for running.
Yeah the 93/16. That shoe I haven't tried yet.
And yeah, 93/17 are stupidly comfier.
I just got a 20% code with my copy of FIFA 18 to use on Adidas.
Code should work if I can cart a pair of the 350 Belugas 2.0 right?

Yeezy could be an amazing brand that totally dominates Jordans in that casual market. I guess he needs to sell $500 jean jackets so he gets invites to fashion shows and shit.
Scored on a pair of the black Mastermind 93/17 mids
Quite possibly the laziest collab ever.
One of the reasons as to why Kanye left Nike was to make his shoes more available to the masses. His goal with Adidas was to make the $40 shoe that everyone could buy at any given time. While it may not seem like it, he is working towards that promise with not only making more pairs of the upcoming colorways, but also making cheaper options such as the Calabasas Powerphase. Unfortunately, since Adidas is in charge of the supply chain, we aint getting there anytime soon sadly.
His Yeezy apparel (and certain pairs of footwear such as the 950s & crepe boots) I think is made with someone else, rather than with Adidas anymore as it was with Yeezy S1.
And yet, his move to Adidas hasn't really changed anything in that front. Yeezy releases (and in some cases, restocks) are still extremely limited. Adidas being in charge of the supply chain is precisely why I mentioned the business side of production. People claim that limited releases like Yeezys is because of materials, not realizing that Adidas's other offerings use Primeknit, Boost, etc., so there's really no argument for materials causing production constraints.
His Yeezy apparel is made by someone else but I forget who, what killed that was his line selling poorly in S1 (makes sense, perception was that it was expensive and offered nothing in terms of style, which resulted in apparel sitting while Yeezy Boosts kept selling out).
These are pretty sick.
These are pretty sick.
Capcom tax is stronkNot $200 sick.
The more i see the vapormax "spiderman" the more i like it, hope its not limited.
