Sniper Elite 5 |OT| The French Connection

Picked this up last night on PSN on sale for $12 via PS+.

I've never checked out this series before! Reading that it scratches a Phantom Pain/Splinter Cell itch sounds pretty awesome to me though!

SE5 was my first entry to the series and now i'm hooked, also like Rebellion and looking forward to Atomfall, their new game. Enjoy blasting some nazi assholes! :messenger_grinning_smiling:

Edit: also make sure to find all the workshops, every map (there are 8) maybe except the fisrt map iirc, has 2 or 3 workshops to find, when finding them you unlock weapons upgrades, so that's one of the ways to upgrade your character.

edit2: it's workbenchs not workshops.

This game is cool as shit. Feels great to play. Good use of the haptics (Love how a full press of the trigger puts you in iron sights). Satisfying gunplay. I’m still on the first map but man, everything is just so well done in terms of exploring and combat experimentation.

It really does feel like WW2 + Splinter Cell + Hitman

I’m now a Rebellion fan.

Finally finished the first mission. Got all of the collectibles, completed all of the side missions and shot down the three stone eagle thingies.

Took me almost ten hours taking my time to avoid the shit hitting the fan. Loved every minute of it.

Missions are a lenghty process if you want to do all objectives and be as stealthy as possible (ten hours for one might be a world record tho :messenger_grinning_smiling:)
Enjoy your french vacations !

Well once I fired up the second mission, I saw there was a great difference in map size. The second area is a lot tighter outdoors with the main focus being on the chateau. Looks way more like a Hitman inspired piece with most of the action going on inside that mansion. Will probably take me less than ten for this one! :messenger_beaming:

Still though if I can squeeze 50+ hours out of this campaign doing all the side stuff I'll be sound as a pound. Awesome, awesome game.

Edit: Also I grabbed the Wolf Mountain DLC for $7 so I can blow Literal Hitler's nuts off.

Keep in mind you don't have to get all the collectibles on one run. You can always come back later with upgraded skills, gear, and weapons.

Oh I know, but I wanted to grab them all in this run so that when I do my Authentic playthrough I dont need to worry about any of it and just gun it to the main objectives
