I can't believe that you're serious with this.
It's one the most realistic, highly complex and detailed natural environments in the game to date with excellet level of detail and view distance, complex geometry and realistic rock formations, water behaviour etc. etc. All of what you see on screen were scanned from the real world and in 3D. C'mon, man.
Look at Unknown 9 in comparison...
Jesus, ugh![]()

What I mean by realism here is the pure technical level of visuals, not the actual realism of the real world and in that sense Alan Wake 2 is also anything but realistic with all its mystical, paranormal and out of this world aspects, which pretty much can be said about Control and Quantum Break as well.
No one ever agrees on these things. Doesnt really matter. My favorite prior to HB2 was Demons Souls but I rarely heard people say that. Its whatever. So it looks like the winner but unfortunately it didn't sell well enough nor does it have enough gameplay to be considered. LOL.
Yea, and I answered your question. Also to answer again, it is not that you can't but you shouldn't , acting live a smartass is something that should not be done.
Perhaps. The bigger question is whether the game reached a large enough audience to register or be in contention, and from the numbers, I don’t think it did.

HB2 is just a cutscene game, so it should maybe be more appropriate to compare it to real time cutscenes in other titles
Tech demos tend to look great, but real games? it's not in the same conversation as actual games that have systems in place beyond walking
I don't even understand the last one![]()
Some of you guys truly come up with the best shit.
Nailed it, especially that last sentence!I thought the scree and the large rocks looked bad. None of it looked like actual physical geological processes had placed it. The landscape looked procedurally generated without giving much thought to immersion. The actual design level design with the flat ledges everywhere further ruined my immersion. Instead of clambering over these rocks, the winding yet straight paths were like some kind of theme park line. The faces of the main characters look spectacular. I was surprised by the chunky polygonal waves. Sea of Thieves has better water.
When we are talking about "Best" graphics, what do we mean exactly? Closest approximation of the real world? Hellblade 2 sabotages itself over and over again. Level of detail on individual items? Hellblade 2 excels at this only on character models, and that's something we've seen before in other UE5 titles Like Immortals of Avernum. The character models there are not much worse that in Hellblade 2, and there's an actual game going on behind it. I am honestly far more impressed by Cyberpunk 2077 with path tracing and the Last of Us 2's environmental details and consistancy.
A shitty gif of a game is not admissible as evidence. At the moment that could be Crysis. It`s on one level with Gray Zone, I would say.

Nah faces in HB2 is betterOnly the faces look good, though, Death Stranding 2 faces are on the same level or better, the environments are nothing to write home about
They have not even seen the need to be more subtle when it comes to hiding their intentions![]()

"Hellblade is significantly better than that Matrix demo"
No. It isn't.

Definitely not on PC.On console it is ...probably not on PC tho ...Matrix demo has mad image quality
Considering what Hellblade 2 actually is, then the matrix awakens tech demo thing is the best.
you can technically "play" it too.
