So what are your predictions for E3 post Sony conference?

E3 will have pricing and the unveiling of the actual console, followed by plenty of footage for upcoming games.

Dark horse would be a launch port of The Last of Us for PS4 circa Twilight Princess on Wii.

Battlefield 4 (Sony and EA want to push this hard to combat CoD that will be pushed by MS), cross gen games for late PS3 titles, the ''new'' Final Fantasy we were told about, Last Guardian, GT6, Santa Monicas other project, Guerillas fantasy RPG (not too confident on this), Naughty Dogs PS4 project.

They'll save some minor titles for Gamescom.

PS Vita - nothing. Maybe 1 first party game

3DS - some first party stuff. possible hardware refresh

I suppose online and multimedia services will be detailed, there wasn't much of that yesterday, so I assume they will unveil all services there, plus more games of course.

Nintendo doesn't have a choice, they have to show new games (aka the big guns).

Console.

More first party games + maybe one or two exclusive third party games (probably all new IPs/except GT/potentially Versus).

Price? Depends on if MS announces a price.

Details on non gaming entertainment.

Details on online.

The actual console.
A release month.
More info on what are a premium paid PSN features. (Gaikai, Live streaming / uploading)

Software.

New Sony Santa Monica IP.
Call of Duty Next Gen? They seem to be getting close with Acti. COD's deal in MS might be up?
Final Fantasy that isnt versus.
Destiny Live Demo.
A MMO. Everquest Next?
More demos of stuff we saw yesterday.

50/50 on The Last Guardian. They always need a good closer. I say they made the right choice making Blizzard and Destiny the closer last night so it wasnt the time for it.

No Gran Turismo.
No Versus XIII.
No Naughty Dog.
No Agent / GTA5.
Maybe No EA.... something is definitely up there.

I'm hoping they'll show actual quality gameplay of actual quality games that I'll be able to buy in my lifetime, on par with Sony's rich gaming heritage, putting my fears of this thing not being in the oven long enough to rest.

I'm predicting they'll show cheesy tech demos and gameplay-less cinematic trailers that'll give the PlayStation Generation kids huge boners but leave me completely cold.

My bold prediction...Valve is working with Microsoft on Durango. People would be all kinds of pissed off if Microsoft released 720 as a digital only console (ie. no used games), but if they then said the way they are going to make this work is by partnering with Valve to sell and distribute the games...you have gotten the gamers back on your side. Then...the bombshell. Half Life 3 will be exclusive to XBOX 720.

Crazy...I know. But why is Valve laying people off if not because they are completely shifting focus...what could that focus be? Let's find out at E3.

Sony: Actual gameplay hopefully. Show the console. Tell people what they're actually going to have to pay per-month/year to help Sony not lose boatloads of money on each PS4 sold.

Nintendo: Hey look at us! Remember us!? We did the whole "show no games or anything interesting" the last two E3s. Sony copied us again!

Microsoft: Wavey wavey wavey MCDONALDS!

Hell, I'm curious to see if any game announcements at GDC. I would kinda expect a trickle of news from now until E3. They could still do a minor game reveal a month and save all the big stuff for E3.

Uncharted 4, more new IPs, more of the games they showed yesterday (Destiny, I think will have a large presence at E3), Last Guardian (Or maybe this is just me being overly hopeful), The new Final Fantasy (I'm not counting on Versus, but I would love it if the Agni's Philosophy demo was the next FF or an IP of its own.), and just overall more detail on the console itself. I could see them holding off on showing the console and revealing the price until E3.

Regardless, I think this E3 is going to be a good one simply because Sony and Microsoft are in "Console-selling" mode.

Sony:
- Kick off with brief Last of Us trailer or demo (final marketing push) and a PS3 montage
- More PSN details, perhaps pricing for the premium tier
- Beyond Two Souls and The Last Guardian gets moved to PS4 (or cross-gen)
- Gran Turismo 6, Uncharted 4, several more 1st party titles shown
- MMO/F2P games shown (Planetside 2 at least, and that'll be a launch title)
- Show Vita being used mainly as a PS4 accessory (second screen/remote play). Vita price drop and/or bundles.
- They'll moneyhat at least one major exclusive. Final Fantasy seems likely.
- Show console but no pricing or release date until Gamescom

My principal prediction is also my principal hope: they show us what the box looks like, introduce the two SKUs and the price-points, and give us a definitive release date.

They will probably announce a lot more software. Just about every major developer is on board for the PS4, and most of their own studios haven't shown off their wares yet. Demonstration of the actual system working as well. Right now, all we have are games running on devkits.

A price cut for the Vita will also be expected.

Console design, price, more fleshed out Gaikai and loads of games

I wouldn't be surprised if Last Guardian and Versus are there. Versus in particular because of the cologne which seems to be an attempt at viral marketing. It would be sick if Ueda was the first person on the stage.

I think the best thing they can do is shut up and show game reels. I really don't need to hear an hour and a half of masturbatory speeches and talking points by developers and execs. Wow people with content.

Also, a strange complaint, but I wish when said execs/developers spoke they spoke in their native languages. One of the things Sony has going for it is that it's internationally popular. Having people speak in their native languages would give the event a more international vibe. The thing I found most disappointing about the conference last night was how American-centric it seemed. I know the US is the biggest market, but I think you can do things that appeal to Americans but also be international, and appeal to all regions, at the same time.

More games, exclusives and tell you more about Driveclub.

Probably show off the 3D Modelling and Animation that is now available from the power of the PS4.

  • We'll see the actual console.
  • We'll see the online features.
  • They'll have some Gaikai announcement as to which games we can expect from the PS3 library.
  • Gran Turismo 6. Final Fantasy. The Last Guardian. Destiny exclusive DLC.
  • They won't announce the price tag or release date before fall.

My principal prediction is also my principal hope: they show us what the box looks like, introduce the two SKUs and the price-points, and give us a definitive release date.

PS3/Vita price drops are my only predictions I'm standing firm on right now. Oh, and of course we'll see the PS4 box and get pricing info.

- Final Fantasy will be there in a big way. They can't bullshit any longer. We'll see
gameplay Versus and FFXV (been in development since 2008, Square Enix
Production Department 4)
- New game from Naughty Dog's Uncharted Team
- The Last Guardian
- Metal Gear Solid V
- Second Son gameplay

-The box first and foremost, possibly at the beginning of the conference
-more info on first party games shown yesterday
-More third party game announcement, COD and Battlefield
-couple possible megatons regarding Final Fantasy and Last Guardian
-Showing off the functionality of the camera and how it operates with the controller
