By that logic it would be a Series X competitor too because in most games PS5 has been outperforming Series X.

So either people are thinking Series X isn't even in the running anymore, or Switch 2 will outperform it with DLSS. Either take is funny.

Honestly I was just taking the piss, but I do find it a bit funny when people in general just omit Xbox from the picture when talking about competitors to the next Switch. It happens rather regularly; not by you mind, but I've seen it online.

I want the Switch 2 to be competitive with Sony (and Microsoft) in terms of getting more 3P support; in Sony's case, if that means they prioritize doing more AA 1P titles again to make up for lack of Japanese 3P exclusives they would've gotten by default prior. But honestly, if Switch does get there that's way more due to Nvidia's progress on their own tech than Nintendo actively pushing for it the way say Sony did with AMD in helping with aspects of RDNA2 (according to the rumors).

There is clearly something going on with a moderator on here that has a personal vendetta against me. I posted a comment in the forza vs gt7 thread that stated that forza looked a lot better than gt7 in the video asamsapple posted and within 50 seconds my post was deleted and i was thread banned. I've attempted to contact moderation multiple times to request a conversation and no one responds.

My post was deleted with the comment "you're trying too hard, fanboy". I mean really, what is that? We see horrific comments towards other members, and craziness all day but a comment about forza looking better on one video gets me banned from a thread within seconds.

I know the joke is why post a thread, just message moderation. I have done it multiple times. I have never been banned on this site but seem to be getting an increasing amount of thread bans and warnings.

Anyone got any ideas of how I can work through this with the moderation team, or who else I can contact?

Based on my own recent and bizarre experience. This is my guess.

I checked out the recent comparison video and didn’t think their was a big gap either way between the two. Their were differences in saturation/lighting but that could also come down to time of day etc.

Both should just be happy.

I've yet to read through much of the comparison stuff yet but 3:50 onwards is a huge difference, I assume something is wrong like settings etc?

GT7 on PS5 with the PS5 update looks nothing like that on my TV when actually playing, so are you sure that isn't a HDR capture issue, or playing the PS4 version on a PS5, Or arcade mode or mislabelled video.

I would say it is an issue with using the 3rd person camera in GT7, that isn't needed at all because who can get all the license rewards driving in that camera? But the replay cameras in GT7 are third person and look fantastic, as-in, would pass for real racing footage(near enough) fantastic, so I don't know what to say.

GT7 looks amazing for a cross-gen game in the 300hrs I've played, so who knows?

I don't really know what happened, but having spent some time as a mod, I can speculate that the ban might have been based more on a pattern of behavior, rather than that specific post per se. Sometimes a mod (or a mod team) develops a perception that a particular poster is a fanboy, a console warrior, or whatever. After that, sometimes the trigger gets pulled earlier for that guy than it would someone else. The threshold is lower. They're on a "shorter leash," let's say. That's particularly true if the person has a previous record of being a problem. I don't know if any of that is true of you, Dench, I'm just speaking in general terms.

On the face of it, I don't see any reason to ban someone or insult them, based on what you said you posted. However, I know there are two sides of the story, and we're only hearing one. So who knows.

This is highly debatable depending on what specifically is on display, TBH.

But overall, both games look very good. Neither's wildly outperforming the other in visuals, really.
