Yeah they need some foams because the included tips are pretty bad. The disconnect issue needs to be fixed though because it is possible to have them never disconnect. I have recommended that people try a USB hub for the adapter.
I just got one because the ps5 pro doesn't have usb-a in the front panel lol.

Never heard anything good of Sony gaming headsets, the lack of bundled headset confused people, the ps4 mic was efficient, I was all for Bluetooth headsets on PS3 but that situation was very different, the built in mic on the dual sense is a fundamental step forward.

So the maxwells are heavy as hell... Just played for 2 hours with no disconnections what's so ever. That right there is a breakthrough

Don't have any issues with connection or anything like that. I just don't think they sound as good as people say. Fuller bass would round them out nicely.

Was excited when I heard them announced, but they don't meet my standards for purchase.

I'm pretty picky about my headphones.

Connection issues are honestly dogshit. These things disconnect from 6 feet away with the headphones having a direct line of sight to the dongle plugged into the front of the PS5. When they work I really like them, but I can't recommend them how they are now.

Edit: the worst part is they are rarely "just hit power on the headphones to turn them back on" connection issues. Usually they refuse to connect again until I get up and unplug the dongle, and even then I have to manually accept a PS5 system prompt to reconnect them. So fucking terrible.

same shit i went through. unplugging and plugging back in and turning the headphones off and on a few times just to get it to connect again.

some on here said it didnt do it on their PRO anymore. mine kept doing the same shit. didnt matter if it plugged it into the front with an adapter or the back.

PS5 Pro is so pro I have to use an adapter to connect pulse 3d dongle... and that's the tiniest adapter I could find.
And no. Plowing through the back is not an option. I use the dongle on pc and ps5. Not going to be reaching back there like an asshole every day

Not just the elites, but Dualsense as well.

I got PS5 this month and my Dualsense already have analog stick problems.
Getting tired of buying joystick after and after.

I think this is why I like the maxwell dingle.

Type C for starters and the button on the side to select pc.

Better. Still a bit long for being usb c.
And Why do I need pc/ps5 switch? No such thing on pulse elite or 3d.
I had maxwell and I had to unplug replug it on pc sometimes to get it to work. Audeze is very wonky with software.

Haven't had any issues yet. On the Elites where I get a daily disconnect, the maxwells have yet to once

I would've kept Maxwells if not for that damn heartbeat/bloodflow I could hear constantly. I really gave it a good chance... and then some.
Shame because it's the only headphone I could hear the rumbling underwater noises in Soma. Insanely good sounding.

Five months of moderate use

I have already contacted Sony's technical assistance in Brazil and I will send it to them to "fix"
I believe they send a new one instead.

=====================================================================

I found some photos on BluSky with the same defect as mine, but a more serious version where all the plastic, in the same place, broke

On the Amazon Brazil page there is another person with the same defect...

In short, in a quick search I already found, including myself, three people with the same defect

I have a Kaira Pro and love that thing. The bass is fat, it has an EQ app, mic is good. I have no clue how it compares to others but it I think it sounds great.

Thankfully, I haven't had any issues out of mine, maybe 1 disconnect? I've had mine since launch day. I also have the Audeze Maxwell.

I've been thinking about that, blacksharks or something else.
I had a pair of blacksharks. They were decent, mic quality iirc was kinda meh. I stopped using them because the boom mic started having connection problems

I decided to check the Amazon USA page

I got tired of counting after the fifteenth Pulse broke in the same place.

The 2023 blacksharks got the best mic in the industry of wireless headsets. They updated it.
I would get one but I know razer.... Razer always have issues. Pulse 3d just works and I like having ps5 integration. I only really dislike it's dongle is not usb c

I've heard that a few times, that Razer have issues I mean, but my Kaira Pros have been rock solid I have to say and I'd never owned a Razer product before so no brand loyalty. I've had them for three years now and the 2.4 dongle connection hasn't fucked up once and they work as expected.

Yes. Such a stupid decision to force us to use that. The system has bluetooth. I have the Pulse earbuds and the receiver's usb port's metal thing came off.

Kiara is USB c right?
Does it remember pc volume when connected to ps5 or what?

Yea it's a USB-c dongle. I'm unsure about the volume exactly because I have the PS5 system volume jammed to max. So basically I power on the headphones and just dial the vol down as desired. Hope that helps?

I hate all of these “Elite” controllers, especially the Xbox ones. Know why? Because they’re actually amazing and feel absolutely perfect… for like the first 3 months. Then, inevitably, something breaks and you either have to repair it or get a new one.

How do companies keep making these insanely expensive controllers that fall apart with normal use in under a year?? I feel like this guy.

This headphone have good sounds because planar drivers are good. I'm not an audiophile but I tested them and I can tell that it gives good performance in games.

But the material quality so so bad that you assume they didn't care anything else beside planar drivers to meet up the price point. If you don't careful you end up like upper photos. Abbysal material quality overall.

For anyone looking to replace these or any other headphones, i highly recommend the Steel Series Arctis Nova Pro. The included DAC is brilliant too.

I have Nova Pro Wireless as well. It is top notch quality but if anyone of you want to buy it beware these situations:

This headphone have ANC unit embedded inside the pads. And the original pads are so soft that after a certain time they get flattened and the ANC unit inside the pads contact your inner ear and it starts to hurt physically. So so major design error from Steelseries. How come they didn't realize that I don't understand. Luckily you can change the pads with third party ones like WC Freeze. Because of the thickness of these pads this problem disappear but you spend more money to solve this design error.

The second problem of the Nova Pro is that it is not for big head people like me. I tried everything to loosen the band or stretch out pads to the limit but even with their last limits it starts to hurt my big head after 1 or 2 hours.

I use a SteelSeries Arctis 5 headset connected via a cable to the Dualsense (so still better than connecting the headphones to the TV or the sound system). Zero problems with disconnects or delayed sound. Extremely comfortable headphones, obviously at the expense of not protecting you from the sounds of your environment.

The constant connections issues still have yet to be fixed.
Do you have the USB dongle on the front of the console?

I've had the same disconnect / reconnect issues with the Pulse when the dongle was in the back of the PS5. When I moved it to the front, I've never had an issue since for the past few years.
