Literally doesn’t say “celebrated” anywhere in the article or its title, nor does it mention this has anything to do with critics, simply talks about her struggling with socializing which is just basic autism stuff.

Y’all celebrating being cruel assholes endlessly does get tiring.
Yeah, the OP is basically a complete lie.

-Not one mention of celebrating, jubilation, or any emotion approximating that.
-No wording to suggest her being brave
-Not a single mention of critics.

I don't understand why a thread like this would be created. Is the OP a chinese bot? A jilted ex? What's the point of making up stuff like this for a relatively insignificant actor who you don't personally know?

Just being cruel because they didn’t cast a hot actress to play a teenager in their favorite vidya games show.

Man, anyone know a celebrity that isn't trans or autistic/retarded? And what's with their autism going hand in hand with being trans and mentally unstable?

The autistic people of yesterday were watching trains, collecting stamps and playing Warhammer, now they are trans, cut their tits off and are jerks to everyone

Oh no! Ten guys on the Internet are making fun of a millionaire for being objectively ugly. How will she ever recover!

She didn't say any of the things in the OP ... Read the article... The OP is basically a lie.

But y'all calling her a B, "retarded", and all these other things shows character defects. If you say this about a complete stranger, do you say it behind the backs of people you DO know?

The way you treat a stranger says volumes ... Even on the Internet.

Deaf, for the love of God, stop getting triggered by people's opinions everytime and passing judgement on them, lately, you've been doing this every single time, you're doing it now, you're doing it in the Antarctica research center thread and pretty much every time you don't agree with someone.

Now, it's either A) all people are assholes and you're the only one right or B) you're oversensitive and get triggered easily.

Either way, it's annoying as hell man and maybe, this community is not for you anymore (?).

Let people say their thing, we have mods in case anyone goes too far.

Just my 2 cents

Feel sorry for the real people with autism. Its a trending on 15-25 years old people , like if being autistic where cool or you become more interesting person.

fucking hipsters...

That's indeed what it is. Nothing worse than being a white, heterosexual normie. At least neuodiversity lets you participate in the oppression Olympics.

I had severe anxiety and the wonderful social isolation that came from it long before it became cool. Do I win anything?

Actually I'm happy for those now who do suffer afforded some understanding that didn't exist before back when the solution was told to just fucking snap out of it. Dealing with this shit is hard enough without trying to also hide it from the world.
Hey are you me? It took decades for me to accept my limitations. I own it now and happier for it. We're just built different.

WTH? I'm not "triggered"... I'm reminding y'all to bend to your better angels. We don't have to act like bottom of the barrel people. We should be better than that!

But you're right. Say what you want. We've got mods in case someone goes overboard.

I just think often we can do better being that many of us know what it's like to be talked about because of XYZ.

Pretend I wasn't here...

So, she had a cast member tell her that she had signs of having autism and it turned out she did.

I have had a lot of people tell me that I have the signs are well and I need to get a diagnosis but I heard it's very difficult to diagnose as an adult.

Behave the pair of you. What signs?

I'd argue if something is difficult to diagnose and you've made it this far then there is fuck all wrong with you apart from being human.

Its the former mate.
It's a shame that is where most of my assumptions will go these days.

I have friends with genuinely autistic children, you know like concentration issues and learning disabilities etc and i just feel for them, they aren't well off and they don't get the greatest care from the gov, money isn't infinite and i feel bad for those who will suffer the long term fallout when the money well goes dry or is dimished by all these narcissists using a genuine condition to try improve their like and subscribe rates (or to just not write that exam they didn't study for, i saw a lot of that at uni)

I tried taking her down the casino one day but found out that Rainman film is bullshit, there is no upside.

hahaha, i have yet to try the rainman routine myself :messenger_tears_of_joy:

But in a similar boat, it's one of my closest two friends child and yeah, shame it's a struggle to even watch a movie at the cinema, from loud sounds causing issues to the dark and the general lack of attention to stay focused on an animated feature, it's a 24/7 job for the parents (not like parenting isn't either, but i mean dealing with their autism).

You can see the father is starting to crack, he hasn't been as stable at his job lately and there's fears he's gonna get made redundant and yeah... really sad stuff.

but I'll remember to cry a tear for Bella Ramsey too after she finished filming the second season of one of the most Anticipated shows, based on one of the most Renowned game franchises, After being in one of the worlds biggest tv shows of all time.

There has definitely been a weird boom in autism diagnosis over the last few years.
It feels like every 6 months someone I know announced on social media that they've been diagnosed with it, also anecdotally (from what friends and family tell me) it now seems like in schools every class has like 2 or 3 kids with it.

In the US there has apparently been a 175% overall increase in diagnosis since 2011, and it skyrockets up to 450% among young adults.

Idk, just seems weird to me. Some people say it's simply a natural increase due to there being more awareness of it, but I can't help but wonder if there isn't a bit ovediagnosis going on.
Someone told me that, at least in my country, the guidelines were recently updated and became way broader, but I don't know if there's any truth to it.

Nowadays Autism is such an OP passive damage deflection buff that everyone' trying to apply it even if they aren't rolling the right build. Not crazy the way the current meta is developing. The devs really need to nerf the entire neurodivergence skill tree. Not even fun to play anymore.

My niece has autism and she would never be able to act in a major series like Bella does.she can't even say much words yet and communicates in grunts and cries ect ,cant focus on anything ect and she is 6.

Sorry but all these people 18-50 year old people saying they have autism or ADHD/OCD discovered 5 mins ago or whatever are just attention seeking or seeking more benefits from the government.
It's disrespectful to the people and families who have/ deal with severe autism.

My best friend, after my child's late mom, has twins with autism. In broad strokes you'd think they're normal kids (they're about to be 14) but they're both diagnosed as on the autism Spectrum. Talented and very smart kids too... But you know not to have things too loud or anything around them. I'm the same way... It doesn't have to be deafening or anything... But it'll set them off. They're good kids.

And no one is saying she has severe autism... It's a spectrum. And you can be almost well adjusted with high functioning autism

Yeah it's a spectrum as has been repeated a million.

It's useful for someone to be diagnosed after just having relatively minor issues socializing, as it can help them realize things about themselves and counteract some negative reactions they may be having with "ah yeah this is me being a bit autistic."

Like OCD or ADHD or whatever people overuse the terms after never being diagnosed (particularly OCD really), and it can come across a bit daft / "look at me" but if someone is actually diagnosed that's a bit different.

It's not the most exact science since it relies nearly 100% on people self reporting issues but if people aer being honest with their doctors there are pretty clear guidlines for what is / isn't on the autism spectrum.

Someone with a kid who can barely socialized shouldn't be offended because someone whose just had more minor issues is also on the spectrum.

Didn't you call an autistic guy named Elon a Nazi in another thread?

What the fuck are you on about?

Oh, here I'll explain slower.

DT, who I have great respect for, just criticized people in here for calling an autistic girl who is "a complete stranger" names and making accusations of her character. He insinuated it shows "character defects" if you do that to someone you don't know (or do, fwiw).

I agree that I don't think it's nice either.

However I remembered he did the exact same thing to another "complete stranger" who happens to also be autistic (unless he knows Elon personally?) by calling him something awful - a Nazi.

I was just curious what his response would be.

I didn't think this was a hard concept - but I suppose for some it may be.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance!

Oh right, thanks. It blows my mind that you would do it, but I guess that's the way it is.

Personally, I wouldn't choose the moment where someone is standing up against guys attacking a woman as a moment to try and bring them down a peg. Even if I didn't like them, that would be the wrong time. It's a properly shitty thing to do, especially as it has the effect of empowering people calling a woman horrible things, which you claim to not agree with AND that you respect the poster you're attacking. That seems like a weaselly, supercilious thing to do.

You've done that to defend someone standing on the world's stage giving nazi salutes who refuses to distance himself from the idea that he might be a nazi. That's what's important to you? Aren't you better than that?

Sure. I’ll play.

My entire point, because I do respect DT, is that we had a discussion in that particular thread that I don’t think people should call people something HEINOUS like a MFing NAZI without having any actual knowledge on their personality outside of what they see in the media.

It is not even a discussion on Musk or what I think of him, it’s deeper than that.

I am tired of people dumbing down the word NAZI and watering down the absolute disgusting and horrid nature of what it truly means and was. My respect for DT comes with a hope he reflects on that since it is near 1:1 situation with what happened here and what he is defending.

And no, I don’t like it for anybody regardless of who they are / if I like them or not. I would argue however accusing someone of being something like a Nazi is far more damaging than picking on someone’s looks - but to put it clearly and transparently, I am not a fan of either.

And don’t start in the sex argument, ALL people deserve respect of not being labeled heinous things regardless of what their genitalia is. And hey, guess what BIGOT - Bella identifies as non-binary they/ them, so you might want to be careful there, friend - I would imagine those labels are important to you.

Have a great day.
