It's much, much closer to Bayonetta or DMC.

Basically only utilizes MGS lore a bit.

I don't think understanding the story is a big part of the MGS games.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the series, I just don't know what the hell is going on.

it's a completely different kind of game.
It's more of a DMC than a Metal Gear game, really.

Should I get Metro or wait for Redux? I noticed one of the new features in Last Light Redux is the "Check Watch" feature. I haven't played LL yet, but can you not hold a button to bring up your watch like in 2033? If not how does it work?

Fair enough:) I started MGS4 and had no idea what was going on. I do like DMC though so I'll give it a shot.

I've already spent far too much in this sale, and I'm not going to get any use out of these things for a few months. What is wrong with me?

I suppose it's a good thing games are pretty much the only thing I spend money on.

I preferred their aggresive counter-sale style. So many deals to choose from between amazon and steam.

I'm glad that I'm not really feeling the urge to buy much this sale, because getting a Wii U last week took a lot out of my wallet.

That's my entire experience with Arkham Oranges summed up, whenever I play it I'm just like, maaan, I don't want to play as no Chris Redfield-Batman, I want to play as Batman-Batman, so then I just play some more Arkham City.

It's a character action game not unlike Devil May Cry or Ninja Gaiden. It's not very similar to any other Metal Gear game whatsoever.

The story is unimportant to the canon, though still entertaining.

i own it, and aside from a good art style, its a genuinely poor game. Extremely repetitive, poor mechanics, and overall just dull

Tiny Tina is great.

Personally, I was a bit burned out on BL2 at that point, but especially if you're playing with friends, it's awesome.
