Correction: I just received my copy of Broken and it arrived undamaged. 1 for 5.This doesn't bode well for my overseas delivery.

Excited to see how the rest of these turn out.Just opened my copy of Broken and this is what I was hoping for with these re-releases. Nice, short booklet with an essay recounting the making of the album and movie. Nice printed inner sleeves. The engraving on the LP is crazy. Made me think it was just fucked up until I looked closer. Good stuff.
looks like the Akira Soundtrack has been pushed to the end of September.
Just wanted to say thank you for the mofi brush recommendation.Personally I've never trusted a carbon fiber brush. I really like the Mofi brush. I get that it doesn't clean the grooves but a carbon fiber brush isn't doing much either. I'd rather just not float a bunch of prickly carbon fibers over my record. If you want to actually clean your records, then clean the record in a distilled water bath and use a spin clean or a vacuum to finish the job.
I'd steer clear of felt mats. They're good for DJ'ing and such but they build up a lot of static over time. Invest in a good cork mat. Amazon has them. It'll keep static from building on the mat itself as well as discharging from the record too.
Yessssssssss! My Voyager records came! The box weighs a ton. Everything is so nice and thought out. Can't wait to listen to them later.

That thing just improved a bunch of the albums I had and I just used it dry.
Curious about it for quite some time: some older vinyl have two numbers in brackets. While the second number is definitely the duration I have no clue what the first one means. Any ideas?
I don't think it will be too hard. No indication that this one is even strictly limited. As long as you are there at the drop you should be able to get one.Gonna try and cop Josie today. Are Mondo releases typically hard to get?
Avoid carbon fibre brushes. I've scratched many records accidentally while using one
I've been eyeing that one since it's affordable. But I'm waiting to hit the 100 record mark before I invest in something like that. I'm at about 50-60 so I'm almost there. It depends on how much you want to spend, or your level of investment in vinyl. I have this
https://spincleanrecordwasher.com
I paid £80 for it and I am 100% happy with it. You can buy cleaning machines that cost 4-5 times as much though. My only advice is:
Avoid carbon fibre brushes. Ive scratched many records accidentally while using one
Buy some anti-static record sleeves and store each record in one. Itll help keep them clean
If you want to clean the records yourself then use distilled water and a clean anti-static cloth. Be very slow and careful with it and make sure its fully dry before putting them away
Slight step-up you also may want to consider if you plan to keep going: SqueakyCleanVinyl MK-III. Pricier and you'll need to buy a cheap wet/dry vac but very well made.It depends on how much you want to spend, or your level of investment in vinyl. I have this

Nice! That's the second recommendation I get for this. That video really sells it. Thank you for the link.Slight step-up you also may want to consider if you plan to keep going: SqueakyCleanVinyl MK-III. Pricier and you'll need to buy a cheap wet/dry vac but very well made.

How? I have brushed thousands of records thousands of times with a carbon fibre brush (quite often quite drunk even while DJing) and not a single one of them have been scratched.
UK GAF: HMV have a 2 for £25 on lots of vinyl. I just picked up Imagine Dragons and Kasabian (both 2017 albums). Lots of good records in the deal too - Stone Roses, Pulp, Prince, Bowie, some OSTs
I honestly dont know but I must have done something wrong. Maybe I caught the edge of the brush on the record. Its a sharp metal and not exactly protected

Its £22-£25 everywhere else here, so its a great deal. Maybe it wont be on for long

I bought into the Yeah Yeah Yeahs Fever to Tell... only like 2000 copies, but two hundred dollars. As much as I love that album, it feels like an investment.
Early 2000s when Vinyl wasnt popping, its a picture disc (used a lot as a cheap gimmick to shift product) and a lot of those early oughts bands are all sitting on some sort of gold mine with their records. At this point its just a matter of time before catalogs start getting remastered and repressed.I wonder why was the print run so small. Also wouldn't the album be popular enough to see a reprint?
Its in my opinion the best option would be to just wait and see on it. It sure is frustrating but I think well get news on that release soon enough.
It comes out on the 20th.
That's the $200 box set they were selling on their site. It is sold out now. I don't know if anyone else is selling it.
I haven't done an update myself in a long while either (I also just got back from Seattle yesterday and just updated with a whole slew of records I picked up on my trip).
What Seattle stores did you go to? I'm going to Seattle later the month, definitely want to make a trip to Sonic Boom and Bop Street.

I didn't really get out of the Capitol Hill/Pike Place area too much.
There's nothing special about Sonic Boom, imo, but if you're going to be at Bop Street (the best shop in the city, by far; pricey but outstanding in every aspect) then I guess it doesn't hurt to cross the street to check it out.
Jive Time in Fremont is great, and I always like Silver Platters in SoDo even though their reorganization a couple years ago made it much less enjoyable to browse. Awesome staff at both these places. Thumbs up to Wall of Sound's wild selection too, even though I've never a actually found something there I want to own.
Thanks to a post in this thread I was able to order this
Nice! I have yet to crack mine open, though.
Damn, that's nice!the splatter on mine looks so good.
kinda tempted to frame the inner-sleeves since i replace all of mine with anti-static ones.
