Superman could have prevented WW1 and WW2

Have you ever watched Back to the Future?

You can't change the past without completely changing the future in unexpected ways

So maybe the present would be even worse than it already is right now

He reverses time to save Lois but why wouldn’t he do that to prevent all of the wars?
He had to go back in time to save Lois because she's the only woman on earth that can withstand his super-cock.
But he also played fallout and knew that war never changes so it's no use to try and stop it anyway.

I'm one of those people but only because i really enjoy when authors can give a pseudo-science answer that kinda make sense if you don't look too deep into it.

Just making things that look and act cool with zero background and explanation is lame af imo.
Being able to be kinda credible when you explain extraordinary things is a talent.

For example, i find normal zombies pretty lame, they are just corpses that live again, but i fucking love the pseudo explanation of the tlou zombie in the serial, the prologue of the first episode that hint at fungus being able to grow and take command and human not being able to do jack shit is a far more interesting pseudo explanation to zombies than just "they resurect becsuss reasons or for some military formula", even if is still a biiiig stretch of reality.
I think that cyclope's eyes being a portal for a dimension with concussive energy is way, way more of a cool explanation than just "the dude shot laser from his eyes because reasons", it may be a bit stupid, but still intriguing nevertheless.

So yeah, i enjoy when authors twist themselves into a pretzel to give me a good explanation of why things are the way they are.

Maybe it's not always optimal because sometimes a mistery should remain misterious or because less talented authors give shit explanations that ruin everything but i love when it's done right.

It's also more like the further back you go the changes made can make larger changes in the future which could make it unrecognizable. Changing something from a few minutes ago is not a big deal.

Because The Man of Steel is a fuckin' prick, that's why.

More like SuperDick™.

Fun fact. Neither National publication (aka, DC comics back then) or Superman's creators wanted him to take part in WW2. They thought it would be an insult to soldiers that actually fought and died there if Superman was depicted just solving everything.

He did go to the frontlines as a mailman though.

The problem with millenials is that we grew up but still expect comic books, star wars, and video games to grow up with us. they cant. a super hero movie is for kids. star wars is for kids. mario is for kids.

not everything is for us. we are pushing 40. we moved on from britney spears and backstreet boys as soon as we hit puberty. why are we still obsessed with jedis and super heroes?

watch normal movies made by adults if you want things to make sense. you have some suspension of disbelief when you are watching a movie about a guy who wears glasses to hide his identity. its literally retarded. its for kids under the age of 5. not for men pushing 40.

Eh...to some extent I agree but there's also a fine line between that and having to turn your brain off completely just because the writer is so shit at their job that it can't muster any details whatsoever on the damn universe they're supposed to know first hand.

That's what separates plain writters from great ones and it's why the MCU is in such a shit state right now....it follows the same philosophy and sadly for Marvel the brain can only take so many jokes before it starts waking up and start asking questions that can't all be answered with "multiverse" and "cameos".

No thanks, I quite enjoy a lot of that. Many comics and comic movies contain well written stories that are targeted at, or can be enjoyed by adults. Mario games are still quite fun to play as well. Even things still completely targeted at kids, such as Pokémon, can be entertaining.

I think a quote from C.S, Lewis puts it far better then I ever could:

“When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty, I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.”

He wanted to bang Lois with he's super dick, that's the only reason he saved her.
Why would he waste time to save a bunch of strangers?
I'm curious couldn't a thrust from super man destroy a woman's cervix?

Doesn't superman have sex with someone in the movies and uses his super speed to satisfy her? Thermal dynamics would come into play; the heat and friction would have destroyed her.

Man of Steel Woman of Kleenex by Larry Niven discusses this in his essay
Pretty good!

Lol I still remember as a kid seeing that movie where he just flies around the earth against its rotation and turns back time, it was the dumbest shit I had ever seen.

Did someone read Straczynskis take on 9/11 with the marvel superheroes helping out at the twin towers? It’s ment to be honorable because they acknowledge the polices and firefighters work. But I was just sitting there thinking “You have Iron Man, the X-Men, hell even Spiderman could have rescued all 3.500 people on his own.”

They try to clarify it by “we’ve been taken by surprise”, but come on: In a world full of superdushes, this wouldn’t have happened.

Can You Imagine What SureAI Is Going To Do With Garfield?
He could do it but he was in love so he did it for woman but his dad got mad at him for doing this because he's not supposed to interfere with human history or something.

Yeah. It's shitty to say but day to day life is likely a lot better because of those times we've gone through

The Savage Time

One of my favorite episodes,

"In the midst of World War II, Green Lantern must prove to a company of Allied soldiers that he can fight without his ring; Superman and Hawkgirl meet a squadron of ace fighter pilots; German troops ambush Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor."

The time traveling was better than any roller coaster avengers were on with Thanos.

He wasn't reversing the rotation... That was just visualization of time reversing.
Thats the fanwank explanation, the way it is shown on screen, with him flying counter rotation, the earth slowing, then spinning in reverse and him flying the other way in order to "stop the reverse spin", it sure looks like the earths spin is the time travel part.

Worth watching....damn Reeves, RIP!
