I love these films, cant wait. Art has cemented himself as a staple in Horror.

I still haven't watched the third one.

It's impressive that he self-financed and wrote/directed/produced one of the most profitable horror franchsies of all time.

Some of the kills in part 2 made me dry heave though.

I love the insane gore effects and creative murders in Terrifier. Art the Clown is also an iconic horror villain. But overall I think this franchise is vastly overrated and very one dimensional, with no depth in it's characterization, writing and story.

Watching the second one right now for my first time. How in the fuck is this 2 1/2 hours???? Movies like this typically have a 80 min runtime

36 mins in, it's better than first but these sort of films really aren't my jam

I've tried watching it 3 times and I can't finish it. Once it gets into the mega gory stuff tension goes out the window and there's nothing interesting about it.

I watch a ton of horror, randomly paused it and when I saw the runtime I thought the streaming app was glitching or something

I took a break and am like mentally preparing to go back to it

films like this really shouldn't last more than 80-90 minutes

this is the same reason Transformer films end up giving me headaches

I stopped at the 2nd one, the ending was really dumb and it ran way too long. First Terrifier was great. The "prequel" All Hallows Eve was pretty good for his first movie and he really nailed the tension. It's an anthology, but the alien story was insane.

If part 2 is rough for you, stay away from 3. Its even more brutal and straight up evil. Shorter runtime and much better pacing though. Easily the best in the franchise

In my opinion it was never a good series in the first place, always relied on gore and Art's design was obviously a draw. I barely made it through the first two films (T2 was wayyy too long) and I have no interest in seeing more.

Always thought he was a demon. He just disappears at the end of the movie if I remember. Plus he gets his ass kicked several times and it doesn't matter

the 2nd one adds a ton of world building lore stuff. it's not great either. but there's a whole mythology being hinted at.
i also think although none of them are good movies, they do get progressively better each one. and the special effects are very impressive considering everything is CGI now.
