Ah the high top fade. I let mine grow out super high; I was pretty close to Kid's size by the end of sixth grade. Unfortunately I kept it after it went out of style and got clowned on for a bit in 7th grade before I had enough. I've had through my young life a mini cameo, braids, afro, the gumby, and now I just say eff it and just bald it off.
Out of all of those the gumby is my greatest regret. I cried and begged my dad to let me have it, he gave up and said sure. Looking back at the pictures, I regret it in every way.
Second worst regret was deciding to grow out my hair around the time I graduated high school. My high school grad pic is the thing of legends. Mini afro and terrible teenage mustache.
