What was that about? A movie about an asshole "super hero" had such promise. The movie was a letdown for certain.

Well the black woman stare is well documented, no point to keep focusing on that. I'm surprised no one has gotten the old angry white man/woman looks. My gf is usually oblivious to it much of the time but she even notices these. For some reason I think the old white ladies take more offense than any group.
the studio (or maybe it was Will?) didnt think an R rated Hancock could work.

I wonder if it's mostly physical attraction to big white women. I've actually heard guys say they prefer a big white woman over a big black woman. I have to say, I see more single, big white women with mixed kids in my area then I've ever seen before. These same women fall for the thug type black guys too.
I love how that older lady pulls out the "I have a lot of black friends card"

Hancock did very well in theaters for a non franchise non sequel. It opened at over 100 million and made more than 600 million WW. White people love Will. I know, I am white, and I love Will.

It did pretty well, actually. It grossed more than Superman Returns, which Will was also offered to play the lead in but turned down obviously since he knew shit would hit the fan.

seriously though, I like food threads. I've gotten into cooking quite a bit, don't really fuck with the frozen dishes and junk food like that. I only wish I had more ideas on stuff to make but the onkelc thread isn't super active. I'm dieting till the 4th of July anyways.

I don't think he's racist or said anything racist tbh. I'm more annoyed by him trying to demean Jay-Z. I NEVER defend Jay but come on, he's not the Jay-Z of old and should be treated with some respect now.
