The assist. manager told me that they received more PS3 versions than 360 versions in terms of stock by about a hundred more. I didn't stop to ask how much they received in, maybe next time i go to work eh.

He went ahead and said that he might not even have enough to accomodate the pre-orders on line.

I agree. I am thinknig this game was overshipped and regardless of what eb and gs managers say, the non-videogame stores are getting the bulk of the supply.

I just called Blockbuster 4 blocks from my house, and they still have copies for sale at midnight.

UK Indeed, They've been here a long while too, damn tired, but must play on...damnit... at least I have a day of work today, yey.

Oh, and in my completely unscientific headcount, about 2 people for every one person bought the 360 version here, and there were more 360 copies available, but that could be because of bundles and stuff (Only the game was available for purchase for the midnight launch)

Just went to a 24hour ASDA and bought a copy, queue was pretty big maybe 100+ people? Seemed pretty mixed on which version people were getting. For some reason they had one person serving, so it took forever to actually get served.

OK, so back from my 1st ever midnight launch, and it was disappointment total, no strippers :/

I wasn't the only one disappointed either, every 2 mins someone would head for a peek around the door saying "Are they there yet? Are they fit?" etc.

About 60-70 people in line when I arrived, and about another 50 or so arrived whilst I was in the queue, reports from across town was that GAME had about 200 people outside or so, they also started selling early, as evident when every now and again a few would come past taunting and shouting with their goods in hand :/

Made my time in the queue worthwhile, and picked up an SE :)




Not the pics I wanted to post :p - but hell, SoV will freak when he sees the lockbox - the only item from the SE he's getting though, the hold-all is mine :)

Oh and the strat guide was a compulsory purchase if you wanted the SE, boooo! GAmestation BOOOOO!

Now excuse me, I have a game to play :D

Probably too late of a mention for most, but looks like Loblaws/RCSS up here in Canada (Ontario, at least) is offering 1400MS points for free with the Xbox360 version for a total of $60.

Yes, turns out the location I preordered from is doing a midnight launch. I just by chance called them and asked. So I guess when I originally preordered it, the clerk did not know his 411.:lol

All the gamestop midnight releases I've been to REQUIRE a preorder. If you don't have it preordered they normally refuse to sell it to you until normal store hours...or a week later.

Anyways. Talked to a EB employee yesterday at the midnight launch.
You remember those first photos of the Special Edition box? The ones taken in a storage?
As some of you know, people managed to identify where this was due to a sticker in the pic.
1:30 at night, the manager of that EB store (in Queensland AU) got a call directly from some Rockstar guys in New York.
Every store had gotten a strict message not to leak anything ahead of launch so the employee who took those photos is now fired.

trading in the orange box is a sin. Even if you get CoD4. Give blood, steal from the elderly, whatever it takes, but keep the orange box. :D

Any idea on how heavy it is with the f-bombs?

My wife doesn't mind the violence because she just doesn't have to watch, but the constant swearing drives her from the room. She's just not comfortable with it. If it's not too bad, I could play it around her, but if it's like Saint's Row (just stuffin' them everywhere), I think it's a post-midnight game.
