Christina Mackenzie reacted purely on instinct, and bolted off towards the open wall. But before they could get anywhere close to it, several security guards and the now recently arrived police came into the scene. Pouncing at CM like bears pouncing their prey, the security drag them away....

"BOB BARKER FOR LIFE!!!! HE WILL COME BACK!!!! YOU CAN'T STOP US!!! UK WHOSE LINE WAS BETTER THEN DREW TOOO!!!!!!" was the last everyone heard,

Fights had broken out. People had been injured. Prizes had been stolen. A hole in the game show wall now existed. Police had been called in.

All in the name of hating on Drew Carey.

All in the name of bringing Bob Barker back to the show.

But who would have wanted this chaos....?

Security guards lined up around the remaining contestants, as Karkador was hauled off for questioning.

They'd all be questioned, for certain. But one at a time. The rest would be under their rightful watch.

Only three of them remained.

How would this tale end?

Up on stage, Drew sat down. He couldn't argue with staff anymore.

And even George Grey had lost his usual charm.

Hopefully, the show could recover from this.

Also, for the record, I was pretending to be depressed to get a few reactions out of it and to survive until the end of the game, since I was sure I was getting killed. Pretending to give up would give scum a motivation to let me live and expect me to screw up.

And then he laughed.

Everyone looked around him, so confused.

But then one by one, the security guards all began to grin too.

"They're all on my payroll."

A look of horror dropped over the faces of SalvaPot and StanleyPalmtree, as Kyan was escorted out of the building.

Not to be interrogated.

But to his freedom.


And so the tale ended. The perpetrators never caught. One had walked freely after causing as much chaos as possible. One had been caught, but slipped through the cracks thanks to security that was bought off. The last, had driven away in a very expensive and fashionable car, and was living undercover.

The Price is Right never recovered. It went off the air to repair it's set and came back, but Drew Carey's ratings slipped and the show was eventually cancelled.

It was replaced by Bob Barker's one hour animal show, which proved to be a surprising hit. Lets Make a Deal took over TPIR's original airtime.

As for myself, I really bought the Splinter vs Kyan narrative, so that was my main reason to trust him, more than Kark's narrative.

I mean...I enjoyed the set up. However I don't know how much I can really contribute to this since I only bid once ( and lost ) and then had an item given to me. I kinda agree with Burb that the amount of investigative roles could have totally ruined Scum in the right conditions but I think the Doc being a 1-shot was fine. Why have the Jailer role be handed out at the end btw? If Town had that we could have locked down the NKs.

I did notice this is really just a vanilla townie vs goon game with some bite-sized powers sprinkled on top.

Yeah, I realized it as the game progressed that the stronger power roles might have been too far back. I think the 1-Shot doctor would have worked better if the Jailer was up closer. Maybe more double nights? Or maybe make the doctor two shot and the jailer have limited shots? Something like that.

The Role Cop ended up being less useful because there weren't many items in play when it was used.

I was hoping that if Kyanrute was scum, he would say or do something in the mason chat to make you suspicious of him, but that kind of backfired when you two were outed.

Oh yeah, make sure to give lots of thanks to Retro, Ynnny, Sorian, and Burb too. They were instrumental with either helping me balance it or helping me moderate. Especially Burb, who did the day start for me while I was in the hospital with my grandmother. <3

Mason chat was fun and pain. Fun because I got to shitpost somewhat and because of chocolate ice cream. Pain because Sawneeks interrogated me more than anyone in the thread itself. Really, I first presented my opinions to Sawneeks and then to the thread. Had the extra burden of needing to be extremely careful with what I say and when and how and aaaargh and all from day two to day whatever.

Day three was the 1st time I thought I'd die. Sawneeks thought about revealing the chat and I figured it would be towny to do so. I tried to convince her to let me do it, because the revealer gets the #townpoints. She was not that interested in that and I felt that pushing the matter would make me scummy, so I began to fear my death. Then I wake up on the morning and I see she had hesitated. DAAAAAAAMN. An nth level gambit? Change stances to see how I'd react? If I do not reveal, I am scummy. If I do reveal, I might become a lynch candidate. DAAAAAAAAMN. But then everyone was KILL SAWNEEKS and then the game was about keeping her alive.

The 2nd time I thought I was dead when Sawneeks voted for me. I had no idea what that was and looking back I feel I was too defensive even though it was somewhat warranted. Managed to play it off, maybe somewhat because town had no interest at all what went on in the mason- that is in the Shrödinger's chat.

The cop reveal was [COP RANT] FUCK COPS [/COP RANT]. Unless town would fuck up, the endgame would be pretty close instead of it being a total scum sweep. The game became more unknown at this point and I am happy I got El Topo dead, as I never usually lead lynches. It certainly was out of my comfort zone. But even that was not enough and thanks to my amazing vote record, I felt I could not push for the final needed townie lynch. Instead, I did what I am comfortable with: suspect scum mates and hope town fucks up.

There was no direct fuck up so I gladly attached myself to Kark's theory of CB/CM/Stanley scum team. Thought it was the only way we could win. I fucked up and missed a vote on the day Corn got lynched. That was 3rd time I thought I was dead. Why that was not brought up, I have no idea. Then it was about who I want to the endgame. Oceanic died 1st because I felt his opinion of me and thus his vote was unpredictable. Then it was a pick between Kark and Salva. I picked Kark (because of Love Boat trauma) because he had shown throughout the game that he is not afraid to go against everyone, even himself. The more worrying part was that if he would suddenly flip to think that his initial read about the scum team was wrong, I did not feel I could convince him otherwise. Salva on the other hand had shown no such confidence in his own reads. He had made a big post detailing how he felt Karkador was scum and then some minutes later changed his opinion. Both could change their opinions, but Salva was more likely to not go with the change. That is what I thought at least and yay it worked.

Thankses all, Sophia, other mods, bear for not eating me, goodies, my baddie friends and chocolate ice cream. I already gave my thoughts about the balance in the scum thread and Sophia was very receptive about the ideas so I am sure the next game will be even better.
