Where do you come from? I wonder at what point does your answer to this question change, if you have moved at all in your life or do not identify with where you were born. For instance, at what point, let's say you just moved to a new state, can you say that you come from that state? What do you say when people ask you this question. I live in Texas, but I only live here. I'm not a Texan by way of birth, yet when I was out of state recently I told people I was from Texas. But I'm not really from Texas, I'm only living here for a time, until I find some new place to go. And then I will have a new answer to that question or maybe not, since it all depends on how long you've been in a place and whether the person you're talking to wants to hear your life story or just wants you to shut up. They are not asking for a lineage.
