Loved DJ Hero as well and it's a shame that more people didn't pick it up. I would have loved to have seen them partner with, say Ultra Music Festival, on a game where you could be a DJ on the rise and then end up going on a world tour to the various Ultra worldwide locations.
But regardless, I'm glad the development team got picked up.

Nobody is buying plastic instruments. Unless Ubi wants to lose a lot of money a new DJ Hero like game is unlikely.
I wasn't saying that they nedd plastic instruments this time around, just rythm EDM game similar to Amplitude. But yeah, I don't see Ubi going that way.

I'm not sure I understand what Activision is doing here.

Call of Duty is in decline. If it keeps going down, I feel like they'll move Infinity Ward or Raven Software to work on a new franchise to make up for it.

No point in having 4 studios working on a declining franchise. At the same time I don't see them closing any of the studio's down.

The last Call of Duty game, Black Ops 3, is the best-selling video game of this generation, if I'm not mistaken.

4 is a humble number.
You have Certain Affinity, Raven, Infinity Ward, Treyarch, Beenox, Neversoft, Sledgehammer Games and Mercenary Technology.

Development on Call of Duty is a titanic effort with a whole lot of hands on deck.

This is not the correct way of estimsting project size. I have an ex colleague who works at Acti for a while and he said these are all mid sized studios.
Ubisoft Montreal has possibly more people than all these studios combined.
