Unravel Gameplay Trailer

Yarny shaking off his head after being hit by the water is just gorgeous, or the way he runs through the water with his arms up, holding up his yarn above the waterline. Such a lovely attention to detail. Yarny clutching the fish at the end, too - lawd, my heart!

I was quite charmed by the trailer up until this point:

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have been able to quickly solve this simple puzzle for a simple reason: I couldn't have figured out you could hang the raft on a single thread of wool.
So the great photorealistic graphics and physics collide with the gameplay.

Well now you know...

I just know that this will be one of those games that make me cry at the end. Damn it EA.

Goddamn this looks AMAZING. Was already in love with the idea behind it after the E3 reveal, but the gameplay looks really great as well, can't wait for it.

The game teaches you early on.

After Scalebound, Dark Souls III and Cuphead, this was my favorite game at Gamescom.

Game looks better every time I see it. I think my favourite thing about it is the soul the Swedish guy has clearly put into it. Its like hes using the game as a vehicle to share beautiful memories of his life with the world.

Reminds me of a gentler and more melancholic LittleBigPlanet. I'm definitely interested, but Yarny raises all kinds of death flags.

It's odd to show an object that blatantly has handles on either side that can't have yarn tied to the end and pulled. Seems like a weird lapse of common sense.

So glad EA are putting this out, and that its getting so much positive attention. Hopefully it sells well and we get more creative, interesting games like this from them.
