Btw, I'm also interested to see what comes out of EVR studio's "project TH":

Its still very much WIP, but I'm digging what I'm seeing thus far. Nice of the devs to keep doing regular updates on the development.

Same same, could replace Splinter Cell - I forgot about it and I have it on my youtube feed. Since Ubisoft can't seem to release remake. Asian devs are on fire lately.

Love the sound meter, it's really unique.

Notice how NPCs are turning on and off their flashlights during low light gunfire. Nice AI.

I just hope zombies they showcased in a dev diary is a separate mode or just one mission.

Guys it may be worth keeping an eye on:

Maybe wildly known since it was posted on PlayStation channel.

Jonathan was the lead art director for Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided as pointed by one of the users in the comments section on YouTube.

Sorry guys, I just thought you may enjoy this.

Also doesn't have any Steam page or trailer I think only screenshots

Raphael Colantonio's next game, founder of Arkane (Dishonored, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, Arx Fatalis, Prey). That one I think will be an immersive sim, he took a bunch of Arkane devs to WolfEye Studios, I bet - some might have even worked in Ion Storm.

Recently Dishonored sketch/concept artist joined the team - Cedric Peyravernay.

You gotta step up your game, Danjin-kun. Something might tickle your fancy at the Japanese indie games summits.

Forgot to post the game from my country

Yo, this looks badass. Lookin' Yakuza "beat 'em up"-ish.

I see its PC only. Would be neat if this Fajrul dude has a console release planned too.

Thick Thighs Save Lives

NeoGAF's Physical Games Advocate Extraordinaire
This indie game recently caught my attention since it looks like it was inspired by VA-11 Hall-A, coupled with 90s anime aesthetics. Apparently, there will be a non-VR version as well in the future.

They also said they'll be releasing a playable demo in a couple of months.

This has The Raid vibes which is good!

Bionic Bay looks crazy good and I never see anyone talk about it. Puzzle platformer all about world and time manipulation with gigantic scale and really good pixel graphics. It’s out in April.

That looks phenomenal. It's like Braid + Limbo + VVVVVV. The culmination of all the 2010ish indie platformer darlings.

For me it’s Holy horror mansion, level 5 make some incredibly fun looking games. Hoping this doesn’t get cancelled.

Probably won't get cancelled since this is the successor of Yokai Watch. But you probably have to wait for a long time. It's still a concept movie. Megaton Musashi from the concept movie to the game's release took 5 years.

First person exploration, with turn-based combat in an isometric view. Love what I played of the Steam EA.

Real-time With Pause combat, Unicorn Overlord style map movement. Stats galore, and many generic units to purchase and upgrade for your legions. Loved the demo. Probably a day one game for me.

Sadly level 5 always seem to stretch themselves way too thin. Yokai watch is incredible but they do what they always do and hammer it by trying to do too much, games/movie/anime/manga and toys on a series is way too much to juggle. A lot of their stuff is super delayed Decapolice still isn't out, Ushiro which was the late progenitor of yokai watch for PSP was supposedly going to be revived by them to be released on switch but in the end it looks like it vanished for a second time into the limbo. Fantasy life has been delayed multiple times but thankfully that one is very close to release.

Their games i love they have a level of polish that makes them stand out visually unilke anything else, when they are on form they are amazing but they really should just concentrate on games as while some like yokai watch did see some success by going cross media giving even the beheomoth of pokemon a run for it's money they are not big enough to sustain that level of spending.

The problem with Level-5 is that makes everything into cross media project. They should stop doing that

I agree with that but they still make unique looking game even tho they are flawed, I’m still very much looking forward to Decapolice.

Totally agreed, not every series needs something like that. at most give it a movie like Professor Layton did that was really fun to see. Not every series needs a full blown media assault especially when a lot of the time it tends to fail, especially not when in the end it could end up totally collapsing the company. I would genuinely be upset if they closed as a lot of levels 5s stuff is in my library, the worlds they create are super fun to play in.

It's also getting an anime. I just want they to put all their energy into the games, not dividing it into other media. They don't need to do cross-media project to make a unique game

I dont know why they do this? Maybe let game come out first and see if it becomes successful before thinking about making anime for it.

Seriously if this is the reason it got delayed for 2026 I'm gonna....

It's because Yokai Watch was a massive success. The newest Inazuma Eleven was also delayed several times. They even fixed/changed the gameplay several times too.

I can only hope with the delay make Decapolice as good as possible because I really digging entire concept of Ace Attorney like investigation with turn based combat.

There's a bigger worry than been delayed, they have a disturbing trend of not releasing their stuff in the west for certain games. None of the yokai watch games on switch have made it to the west in any form not even digitally, hell not even the remaster of the 1st one on 3DS which already got released in the west & has an english translation. Having to play through yokai gakuen Y and yokai watch 1 & 4 in japanese is not ideal to say the least but thats how i also did it with the first 2 ninokuni games & fantasy life & megaton musashi thank fuck level 5 are kind enough that in every game they release they always put furigana above all the kanji so at least i can get the correct readings.

hoping decapolice comes to the west as stuff that requires clue solving detective stuff i'm screwed, my japanese isn't good enough hence i could never do the layton games in japanese.

I definitely think it’s coming to west they did release trailer for western audience, they wouldn’t do if they never planning to release in the west in first place.

The days of PS2/PS3 era of not getting Japanese titles are behind us.

The problem is the western branch of level 5 closed, at one point yokai watch 4 was been worked on for an english release and when that branch folded that release also vanished. But yeah some stuff made it across it was a surprise when i saw megaton musashi get reworked into megaton musashi wired with a solid english translation. Just a shame it was digital only. Weirdly level 5 must have been aware that there were people that imported the japanese release as when i booted up the english release it actually detected my japanese save file & asked if i wanted to transfer it to wired when it was done it literally carried everything across including where i had left off in the story it was wild i have never seen a game do that between regions before lol.

Actually it's alive

37 minutes gameplay that shadow dropped like a month ago.

March Climber March Climber

It apparently was in a bit of development hell, basically team suddenly expanded from a few passionate people to too many cooks in the kitchen and everyone wanted to shove more stuff into a game, this has changed recently. Team was cut in size.

They also made the decision to switch from UE4 to UE5 mid-development- which is crazy for me to just think about it.

I bet it's a simple click and there to import the project.

But to playtest it again, and knowing full well that UE5 is a heavy engine with a lot of stuff ticked out of the box which take a lot of performance, I bet they now have to optimise the game more than ever before.

I bet the hitches and drops in performance we see on gameplay are because of UE5.

Maybe there is something they couldn't do on UE4 but dunno.

I'm no game dev but it is still crazy to think about for me, switching engines mid-development as a gamer.

I think they also lost any Sony involvement if there was one and won't be included in any State of Plays - I bet they couldn't say any specifics about the state of the project or any release date or so was the rumour I've read. Could be BS but dunno.

That are all the rumours I have read. These devs aren't communicating much. Which is a bummer.

I think some of the fans reached on Facebook to one of the core devs and it was the response he got. And also that they are very very sorry about not showing anything new. This may change in the future hopefully since apparently smaller dev team is focused on a clear vision for the game. I think these are also a Korean devs.

I just hope it isn't a 10 years scam, it was initially announced like on Wii U and started as a kickstarter game... Because I love the artstyle and animations.
