I've got the thing that lets me see items on the map, but that hasn't helped me there so far.The stage appear to just loop around but there are sometimes events if you continue on. I forget which item unlocks your ability to see where things are on the map. I did get this secret but I can't remember if I stumbled onto it or was intentionally trying to unlock it.
There's an arcana that will help with those 2 items on the Mad Forest map.I've got the thing that lets me see items on the map, but that hasn't helped me there so far.
There's also one on stage 1 where you're supposed to get 2 items then "Follow the path" that didn't have an obvious path, but maybe I misread which order the items were listed in at did the pathless one first. I'll experiment some more next time. Thankfully there's some fast characters, so in hyper mode you can really dart around the map.
I unlocked a tree without trying, the clue was something like "Be a good boy" on one of the bonus levels. I have no clue what I did for that one, I hadn't even unlocked the secrets menu at the time.
I havent played the game a lot like others, but garlic seems good to me. If you can get lucky maxing out Santa, Garlic and Bible (which I did one time), the monsters couldnt even get near me. It was the easiest 30 min session I had while the others always seemed to be a close call.Is garlic worthwhile?
There’s already a discussion above - that’s a no then.
Garlic is good on the 1st 2 maps getting to the 30 minute mark. While still usable, wasn't as great on the Dairy Plant for me.I havent played the game a lot like others, but garlic seems good to me. Then again, maybe garlic isnt bad per se. Just underpowered compared to other maxed out items.
You can skip it. I mash the a button & it cuts to the items.About 50 hours in and every chest I open I get more and more irritated I can’t skip the animation.
Dude what?!You can skip it. I mash the a button & it cuts to the items.
I don’t remember toggling a setting for this so maybe try that? Otherwise I think the 5-item chest won’t skip until you’ve put in some time (50 hours should be enough, I would think?).Dude what?!
This is basically me and nothing happens.
No issue for me if you want it here but I will defer to others.Since there's quite a few of these type of games and some are as good if not better than VS, would an OT concerning the genre be warranted? Or should discussion of other similar games be talked about here? Would love to mention a few that are just insane and amazing, just as much as VS. And what is this genre even called? I've been calling it Roguelite Reverse Bullet hell.

Switching to Xbox I can skip if I change up what button I’m smashing, still seems random but it’s happening.I don’t remember toggling a setting for this so maybe try that? Otherwise I think the 5-item chest won’t skip until you’ve put in some time (50 hours should be enough, I would think?).

On Xbox controller B button skips the animation (not when you win 5 at once).Dude what?!

The 5 at once one did get the ability to skip. It was in the 1.0 patch, if memory serves. It doesn't unlock until a certain amount of play time that was unspecified in the notes. On Xbox controller B button skips the animation (not when you win 5 at once).

Okay, it wasn't the 1.0 release, here's the one:Ahh, ok. I have 15 achievements left but haven’t tried to skip it lately. Thanks.
Little QOL: 5 items treasure chests become skippable if you've played the game too much ❤
Only on butter and bread. Is garlic worthwhile?

There is. Screenshot your collection and post it.Can anyone help me with my question? I have got 127 out of 129 items in the Collection. And I have 138 out of 139 unlocks. But they seem mutually connected, can't unlock Queen Sigma without completing the collection and can't complete the collection without playing as Queen Sigma.
EDIT: I just used the spell (cheat) to unlock Queen Sigma but there must be a way of doing it without resorting to this.
No. Money becomes worthless once you’ve bought everything, just like in real life.
I haven't played on Xbox but it should. Eggs should always be permanent.Does the Xbox version not allow permanent upgrades? On Steam Deck you can buy a golden egg that gives you a random permanent upgrade for 10k.

Does it strip you of your default item too?Anyone got a good tip for the Moonglow 15 min mark phase where you get transported to that level stripped of your gear and head right? Methodical? Or bee-line asap? I got picked apart by all the shit coming at you.
Before I did the spell, the Victory Sword and the Sigma thing next to it were the only two question marks I had missing.
You keep your default weapon and I think that's it. Ya, I'll give a try with Poe this weekend. Hopefully his garlic shield holds up.Does it strip you of your default item too?
If not, then maybe try it as Poe
Just tried it with Poe. Got wiped in the 2D teleported realm, so maybe not the playYou keep your default weapon and I think that's it. Ya, I'll give a try with Poe this weekend. Hopefully his garlic shield holds up.
It's addictive and the gameplay curve is exponentially rewarding. Plus, it's only $5. Well worth the money IMO.Maiden Voyage give me 1 no 2 good reasons to fire this baby up =P
I've only seen a couple minutes from FightingCowboy's stream.

Strange... My collection only has 129.
Yeah, I have a few secrets remaining. I figure I'll go after 'em again whenever new content gets added. There's two more to find yet.

I was able to boosting my whip to ungodly proportions. It was kind of an accidental build but I somehow was able too. It works similar in clearing a path. Some weapons to consider upgrading is the dagger.
At even near max its godlike. It helps you move forward.
Any stronger and you're just mowing the lawn.
