It was good, too. I just felt that Uncharted 2's soundtrack completely and utterly maimed every other soundtrack this year, hell, it's probably the best videogame score I have heard this decade, let alone this gen. ODST was good but outside of that one track that plays near the beginning when you start to explore the city at night I felt that it was just a bunch of non-memorable techno music, which I appreciate well enough in the game but outside of the game I can't remember any of it. This would apply to my experience with AC2's score as well. Good stuff, excellent in the game, but I feel that Uncharted 2's soundtrack is way more memorable, way more crafted and well-done and thematic. If I listed my personal standout tracks from ODST and Assassin's 2, there'd be a couple-- but if I listed my standout tracks from Uncharted 2 I would be listing roughly 90% of the entire score.

Don't worry! Those are the pre-show technical achievement bogus awards. Uncharted will get "Best Movie", "Best Male Actor", and "Best Director"... :D

Either Uncharted 2 or Assassin's Creed 2 winning would've been fine with me. I think I'm just leaning towards AC2 more because its more recent in my memory. But if you look at the numbers, I bought 4 tracks from the U2 soundtrack on iTunes and just 1 for AC2. But I'm only 40% done with AC2 and I bought those U2 tracks after finishing the game in October. So it could go either way as of now. In the interest of full disclosure, I stopped playing ODST's campaign 3 hours in order to make time for a U1 replay to prep for U2.

I would have been in heavy disagreement over AC2 beating UC2, but... it would sure as hell be more comforting.

I know it's not a big deal, it's just Spike and all, but... holy shit :lol

That better be true. Otherwise they failed before they even began. If ODST really won that, color me impressed at the epic fail.

I agree with this. Fantastic track but overall UC2 and AC2 beat ODST.

I do think UC2>AC2 but either one can win and i'll be fine with that.

I ain't gonna lie, that track was awesome. I would still put Ezio's Family > Rain though. All three games have had great soundtracks, I just think that even though Marty's talented and is the easy choice being "The Halo composer" for a mainstream awards show. Both AC2 and U2, arguably had better soundtracks this year, I would've liked to have seen the VGA's show some love to the underdogs. I mean did Spike even fly (Greg and Jasper) in for the awards ceremony or did they just pick Marty because he was easier to book?

I guess its Mainstream Appeal > Actual Quality at the VGAs.

I can't hear Rain without imagining Chris Remo talking over it with his sultry detective voice.

The overworld music was good, but I was disappointed with the music in the flashbacks.

The maximum number of streams for my country can't be reached. I mean, I'm living in Austria, a small country with only 8 million people and right now it's 1:35 AM. I swear to god there isn't anyone else than me who's interested in the VGAs, it's just impossible...

ODST is the best soundtrack this entire generation IMO. Only thing that could be better than this A+++ album is The Last Guardian if it's on par with SoTC.
