February - Heavy Rain, ModNation Racers
March - GT 5, God of War III, Last Guardian.

I would just hope for Sony to have some new and unannounced game there, at least. I dont remember them missing out on any chance to show a new game, or at least, make a mention.


Also did anyone else see the ads for the VGA Awards, Im assuming they had to mention/reveal Halo Reach, since it is plastered on the billboards for the show (at least in the Northern Virginia to Reagan National area).

I'm wondering whether Sony saw what Microsoft did at E3 this year and will drop a lot of game announcements at once. Twisted Metal, Resistance 3 and Studio Cambridges games out to be announced before E3 though, and so should Evolution Studios' game.

Slightly off-topic, but i'm wondering what Evolution Studios is up to now. I loved Motorstorm 2 (never played the original) but i wouldn't mind something different from them. Whatever they are working on, it's something to look forward to.

So far all we have that are worth watching for is Reach and possibly Battlefront 3 if that is the Star Wars game. (which it probably isn't)

Hoping for Last Guardian in march is a bit on the positive side. That game won't be anywhere near ready that soon.

I remember hearing around E3 that they were working on Force Unleashed 2, and that they were doing some crazy stuff with the game. So it might be Unleashed 2, but Battlefront 3 would be so damn great.

There are at least 11 games though according to Keighley. Some of these publishers need to be doing two titles.

Also, Warner's entire 2010 lineup leaked out a few days ago, so it seems it has to be either FEAR 3 or the LotR 360/PS3 RPG, since I doubt people are debuting a Wii game at the Spike VGAs. I could be wrong about that though.

I love me some Volition, but they've milked Stillwater for all it's worth with SR and SR2. It's time for a whole new city. Every good game gets a pass where its sequel reuses lots of assets (GRAW2, R6:V2, MW2). Do it with the third game and it's just cheap and shitty.

My guesses and what is likely/confirmed:

Disney: TRON (really?) and Epic Mickey
EA: Dead Space 2 (FUCK YES!)
Ubi: Generic Tom Clancy game #234 (Probably CG trailer too UGH)
MS: Halo: Reach
2K: Nothing special AKA Spec Ops
Activision: More annual crap. Nothing to get excited about.

You just reminded how many great series' there are in the Star Wars franchise. I'd love for any of those 5 to get a new game. Especially ones that end on a cliffhanger. I gotta know what happened to Sev dangit!

Bethesda and Zenimax aren't listed in the publisher list so it doesn't seem likely.

Generally Bethesda is pretty heavy on E3 though.

Woops I forgot to drop this off here. No more updates until next Monday due to Thanksgivings. Since there are at least 11 games, it seems we should get be getting three updates next week and four the last week, unless they're not going to tease some of the titles.

Star Wars eh, well they fired almost everyone who worked on TFU and they also kicked out a bunch of folks at Krome so... maybe they took Rogue Squadron 3 from White Harvest LLC's cold dead hands.

Some pretty awful category nominations as to be expected.

Best handheld game not having a PSP game in the bunch, Best DLC being 2xFALLOUT OR 2xGTA and other such nonsense.

I don't expect GAF to love every premiere we announce. You guys are a tough crowd, but of course we want to impress you too.

Truth be told, there are a lot of factors we consider when deciding which games to showcase -- especially now that the show airs in over 180 countries around the world. And of course we're at the mercy of what publishers actually have in development.

All that said, I am really excited about what we have in store for this year's show.

I'd say the next Prince of Persia has a fair chance of being shown.

I'd like to see Mikami's game as well, but that seems... unlikely. Especially with Bayonetta not yet released in the West.

Getting details on 2K Boston's new game is going to be nice, though.
