What 5 shows (anime, live action, cartoons) do you wish had more episodes or seasons?

Name 5 shows you wish would've gotten more episodes or seasons? It could be live action, anime, cartoons etc.

For me it's

The Spawn western animated series - Would love to see way more seasons. Love the mature theme element from and it ended in a cliffhanger too.

Megas XLR - One of my favorite cartoon shows on cartoon network, love the humor, characters, and sillyness from it.

Berserk - the 90s anime, wish it gotten way more seasons.

Bastard - the 90s anime, just like Berserk I wanted a lot more seasons.

Queen's Blade - more season from this very proper anime would be nice.

What about yours?

Ergo Proxy
The Sarah Connor Chronicles
Channel Zero
Hannibal
Mindhunters
Loved Ergo Proxy even though it was a bit deep for me at the time cause I was in early high school. Always wanted to see what happened after the end. Love the main goth chick.

Claymore
Berserk

Nothing else really comes to mind at the moment.
Forgot about Claymore but that's definitely one I would like to see more of even if I know what's going to happen from the manga.

Planet Of The Apes TV Series 1974 (only 14 episodes and was cancelled). Has the best Roddy McDowall Ape performance and acting better than all the movies combined.

Just give me a 4k restoration with ALL deleted scenes edited back in and I'll forgive you David Chase for Many Saints of Newark...whatever happened there.....

The ending of Twin Peaks The Return is BEGGING for another season to even explore what the hell just happened....

We all know that was the biggest cliffhanger in 90s anime history....
full

I still haven't rewatched Game of Thrones. Only seen it once.....all because of that final season!

Original British IT Crowd way was too short - only 6 episodes per season and only 24 in total (not counting the movie).

I understand if this was a US show from that time period they would go the other way and give it massive 22-25 episode seasons and that wouldn't be healthy as well. Maybe meet somewhere in the middle? I think they could easily write 10-12 episodes each season while keeping the jokes fresh.

Same case with The Inbetweeners. I really don't like how the vast majority of UK shows are super short. Doctor Who is the only big exception that comes to my head.

- Farscape
- Blake's 7
- Angel
- Dark Matter (2015)
- Forever Knight (but I must admit the finale is the most ballsy I ever saw in a TV show)

bonus:
- Battlestar Galactica (2003) - (the last season was rushed as hell and would have been way better developed in two seasons)

No one shall be brought before our LORD David Bowie without the true and secret knowledge of the Photoshop. For in that time, so shall He appear.
I wish Arrested Development had a full final season (or just more seasons) during its original run.

I also wish Gravity Falls had a full final season, since they had to cut a lot of the B stories before the series ended.

TintoConCasera

I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife
Berserk
Kaiji (need that s3 mahong kino)
King of the Hill
IT Crowd
Trailer Park Boys (don't really like how it turned into an animated series after getting high on shrooms)

Game of Thrones - needed the last 2 seasons to be 4 seasons at least to have any chance of sticking the landing
Firefly - can't think of a Joss Whedon show that didn't get better after the first season.
Dark Matter - just a solid straight sci-fi show that needed more time.
Teenage Bounty Hunters - was just a fun show with three leads that had great chemistry - covid ruined any chance of a second season though.
Alphas - the plot was just heating up and then dead. The final episode did kind of work though as a finale.

Berserk we never got the ending :(
Space brothers is still (very slowly) ongoing in manga form but was stopped in anime after 2 seasons.
Tron: Uprising was some of the best voice over and styled animated serie. But it got cancelled too.
Baccano!, another classic that got a boched ending and left way too many plot opened.

In live action, I wished we had another season for the finale of the Expanse instead of the rushed job we got.
I also really liked Mindhunter and felt they were going somewhere before they got cut short. It was some of the prettiest TV out there.

Ash vs. Evil Dead - they JUST got to the future era after the apocalypse and ended the show. I had even warmed up to (most) of the supporting cast by that point except the daughter.. Deserved one last season to finish it up.

There are probably 100 anime I wish got a second/more seasons, so I don't even know where to start there. The manga exists most of the time, but I just can't get into manga, especially after seeing the characters animated and voiced.

Hunter X Hunter, hopefully happening soon? let's see.

Stargate Universe, cliffhanger after Season 2 :(

Reaper, only 2 seasons... I loved it.

IT Crowd, maybe it's a good thing they didn't jump the shart and stopped, but I still wanted more!

can't think of a 5th... 🤷

I didn't like Season 3 due to the introduction of his daughter. Found her annoying. I would be fine with a Season 4 if she doesn't show up

I tend to read manga more than watch anime due to being complete/most up to date. The anime is usually a big commercial to sell the manga. I don't have an issue with that, thanks to the anime, Dandadan manga has started to blow up in Japan. But there's anime like Tokyo Ghoul that I watched that was bad. I heard the manga is so much better so that's on my to read list. Made In Abyss anime is a example of a good adaptation of the manga. Than there's anime like Uzumaki which had a great first episode but afterwards the quality dipped. So there are many reasons why I watch less anime nowadays and just read manga but I can understand why manga isn't your thing

Other than Berserk, I would be extremely happy if we got a full Adaptation of Claymore. Big fan of the anime and read the manga after I watched the anime. The manga was fantastic. Maybe one of these days we will get a complete adaptation of the manga. There's a adaptation of Ubel Blatt coming 2025 that's goes over the full story.

Another manga I would want a full anime adaptation of is Gantz

Came to say this. Either that or 12 seasons.

House of The Dragon S2 - Needed 10 episodes instead of the 8 we got to balance out the relatively subpar season in comparison to the first.

Arcane S2 - Since a third season was never in the cards, 3 more episodes could've given the story a little more room to breath. It is still a great season, just not as good as the first.

Sopranos
Firefly
Battlestar Galactica
Dave Chappelle Show
Cowboy Bepop
Sopranos had a really good run, the main story arc didn't feel like it was stretched and it all led to a perfect series finale. Look at Gomorrah from the same genre - it definitely jumped the shark once or twice to make a popular show run for more seasons and to keep a fan favorite character alive instead of allowing him to stay dead. This definitely ruined some good memories of previous seasons.

Sopranos was awesome and I know I'm being greedy asking for more but the Diner scene ending left me unfulfilled. I guess I needed to see him die to have closure. I hate being forced to assume or speculate that he was killed a second after the show credits rolled.

Band of brothers

You can't improve perfection. They've tried with The Pacific and Masters of the Air but they never got close to the quality that was Band of brothers.
It should stay intact as a monument of what can be achieved by the TV medium when you put the right people in charge.
Please, hollywood, never make a season 2.

I agree. But I would take 20 episodes of that show.

-Hannibal season 4, give me Silence of the Lambs pls.

-Ash vs Evil Dead season 4, it needs a proper ending.

-Twin Peaks season 4, I need to know wtf happened.

-Mindhunter season 3, they set up BTK as the big bad and I wanna see it pay off.
One of the things that made me say Hannibal is that Bryan Fuller has said he knows what he would have done with Silence of the Lambs if they had got the chance. I'd love to see what that concept is.

For Twin Peaks, I love the ending of The Return so I'm cool with that being left there. Also, with the recent news about Lynch being diagnosed with emphysema, which has affected his mobility and means he now requires an oxygen supply, I doubt we’ll see another major project like that from him.

This is basically Fox network genre tv, the thread :p

But I'd say Firefly for sure. Also the Adventures of Brisco County Jr. The Expanse needed a resolution of the alien stuff, even if the last few books were heavily truncated. I could have stood for more Terminatir:Sarah Conner Chronicles.
