I was recently reminded of mine, so I will share it for everyone to point and laugh (again), because I can take it.

I thought it'd be fun to have everyone reminise and think of/find their worst-ever NeoGAF post from over the years and share it. We were all dumb at some point (sometimes that point is justrightnow, and that's OK).

It was meant as a half-joke post (I did have to go see a lady doctor about my One Eye'd Willy, it was fine, btw, thank you for asking), and I was laughing at some of the replies, but I think I leaned way too hard into the "socially awkward GAF" trope, and was shamed pretty appropriately.

So what was yours? Do tell!

I think that was the first real dogpile I experienced where I decided in the aftermath to stick to the gaming side and when everything blew up, I knew I was going to stay here.

If you want to follow the fun, I think later down I get called racist because I quoted MLK and people saying that MLK was a despicable human being.

I don't know if my post fits with the spirit of the thread question, but for me that was my worst day on GAF when I realized that I wouldn't post in OT anymore about anything remotely political.

Obviously it's changed now.

Honestly since the split, the person who I individually butt heads with is Scopa Scopa a lot of times, and the thing is that I respect Scopa Scopa . It's not (usually) dismissive, there is a genuine back and forth. Sure there is traditional GAF snark and one upmanship but there are legitimate points that are made. I didn't see any of that in the thread I posted above.

But for Scopa Scopa it was probably a Tuesday ;)

When I got hired to my current job, I went through my entire post-history and erased anything I was remotely embarrassed about. I even PMed the big boss, Evilore, and we went through it together to get rid of any negative evidence.
That was about five years ago. Since then, I've been pretty pretty darn careful to only post stuff I'm able to explain to my coworkers, so there's nothing out there I'd say I'm all that embarrassed about.

Before the cleanse, though, whooooo boy.

I said that Guest accounts on Halo shouldn’t be allowed to pick up the Sniper Rifle and shouldn’t be able to vote for maps because they weren’t paying Xbox Live customers.
This gem got me a 2 week ban I think (maybe a month?) for RaCiSm!

I’m actually super proud of this. I thought it was hilarious but that was back when Gaf didn’t have a sense of humor.

No beef, you're just the one that has stuck out to me. I don't post as much as I used to back in the day, and you've made an impression. Like I said, for you it was probably a Tuesday.

Edit: I should clarify. When I do post, you're one of the posters that tends to respond and challenge me about what I wrote which in turn makes me think unlike how I was treated back in 2016. At the same time, when I say, "For you it was a Tuesday" means that you kind of do it a lot to other posters so I'm not surprised at your response.

Edit2: But I still maintain that Papa Papa is a lovable doofus.

Interesting. What do you post that I challenge? I can only think of a handful of things that I’d jump on:

- unhinged partisan politics
- rampant SJWism
- unwarranted anti-Nintendo shitposting
- Trump Derangement Syndrome
- insulting fit butts
- unironic “hoo ra” American attitudes

Oh Scopa Scopa I'm not going to try and find all the posts where we butted heads. I don't even think we argued about one of those bullet points you mentioned. Maybe I tiptoed the line?

Don't even worry about it. Like I said, I respect you and the points you brought. So much so that not only can I immediately recognize you from your avatar, that more so that I actually know your name.

God that sounds so pompus but I don't mean it that way. I more recognize posters from their avatars than their names. For example, I recognize Papa Papa from his avatar more than the name. On the flip side I recognize MiyazakiHatesKojima MiyazakiHatesKojima from the name more than the avatar. It's weird but it's GAF.

Edit:
@SLoWMoTIoN is weird in that I both recognize the name and then expect that the avatar will be some prebubecent anime girl with massive tits but it's ok because she's a 5k year old dragon.

Edit2: Oh don't you tag me with a triggered Papa Papa . You know I only have eyes for you boo.
