There's a coffee shop here that has an excellent Mexican hot chocolate they make from, well, Mexican chocolate. It's so good.
GOAT'ed opinion.

I mean, chocolate was a part of Aztec culture before the Europeans even invaded.

My friends who worked at Nestle always said Canadian and UK chocolate are way better. The US bars use shittier ingredients. They never said why, so maybe it's a cost cutting thing or a regulations issue where other countries have higher food standards.

But I'd guess a combo of both.

Often times getting things approved (edible or medical) is a lot tougher in Canada than the US parent company where FDA is easier to appease. I wouldnt be surprised if European standards are higher than US too.

As for Krackel, I've only seem them in mini size occasionally in Halloween bundles. Same bundle that would have something called Mr Goodbar too.

Most americans don't even realize how shit hershey's is, because of all other sweet junk they're used to

Only ever noticed a Krackle in a variety pack but I was never looking for one either. Maybe since its extra ingredient (rice) is less expensive than chocolate, it was a good choice for padding variety in a pack that also contains pricier ingredients like almonds. Best I got for why it's in the pack but no big one 🤷‍♂️

Apparently they made Hersheys smell of sick to stop people eating so much of it...

I'm not a massive chocolate eater, but apparently this has happened to Cadbury chocolate since Kraft goods bought them out. Not to mention shrinking the portion sizes.

Fuck Kraft. I'm not a chocolate fan, but it was disappointing to see such a historical British company fucked by the American mega corp.

Made a crappy phPBB forum once ... once.
People have been saying this about Cadbury yes - I've not noticed the smell the same as when you open a bar of Hershey's.

They are using palm oil because its good for the planet cheaper to make and it has that shiny / waxy look now.

Luckily a Twirl still tastes like a Twirl to me - but I know what you mean about sizing - they use to do a 1KG bar for Christmas for £10 - now its 750G for the same price - to help fat people not eat so much chocolate apparently to keep the profits up.

Its "sold out" and no reviews. You know why? Because they don't exist in this timeline that's why.

That is the UK. It doesn't count as Europe :messenger_winking_tongue:
This is true, but have to say I don't think I could tell a major difference in chocolate.
And I had no complaints about the food in the US either.

I'm no sweets expert, but if youre ever in a middle eastern grocery store and see chocolate snacks originating from Turkey or that part of the world, you wouldnt think good chocolate comes from there. But I thought the bags of chocolate snacks I tried were great.

Don’t you guys have Milka or Kinder? Even in Mexico you can get those. Hersheys really is not that good ..

Also, the monocle appears in the kids version of Monopoly.

Americans think kinder are too dangerous, so they banned them.
