Who’s actually enjoying The Last of Us 2 remastered? No OT or anything?

With TLOU2 is entirely depend if you enjoying the story because the entire pace of the game based on its story with many flash back sequences.

For someone like who didn't enjoy the story or the characters the game was a slog.
7 hours in. I'm good so far. Is it GOATED? No. But it's fantastic enough and has well deserved gameplay and combat accolades

It's what anyone would expect from a narrative driven post Armageddon game.

I'm finally going to play it for the first time on PRO. Hate to admit but I sat out because the game leaked and I heard way to much about it and I got angry. my fault for letting it get to me.

Should have known better. Last time I sat a game out because of it supposedly being terrible was days gone. That game ended in my top 5 from last gen.
You're in for an absolute treat, my friend

Once you complete the game, it unlocks cheatcodes like infinite ammo, infinite crafting, etc, just super fun. You can revisit any chapter you want as well, but I would recommend starting a New Game + on Survival difficulty with all the cheats turned on. The enemies will be much more aggressive but you'll have infinite resources to kill them. Blowing up hordes of people and infected with explosive arrows is incredibly addictive!
What's weird. I'm a bitch. I'll play all games on medium difficulty and never more. I'm a coward. Yet I'll dive into Dark Souls for the 192626 time and its child's play. Def don't understand

I'm a coward yet… not?!

Days gone was amazing. Absolutely. Spent 45 hours beating it. I'm NOT one to complete long games. That's one I spent beating. Deacon St John. Ahh. Fantastic

Yeah, I also played it on Medium, but with infinite ammo and crafting you can easily get through on Survival. It's similar to the God mode in Control, if you've played that.

Definitely a top 10 title for me. I don't know if I ever had a game make you flip flop emotions in a game so much. Hated Abby at the start and ended up liking her the most

- You can understand why Joell did what he did.
- you can understand why Abby's dad was doing what he was doing.
- you can understand why Ellie was doing what she was doing.
- you can understand why Abby did what she did.

Ignoring the pushed sexual woke preference in the game. Because that was definitely pushed in the characters.

Yeah. They made it clear early on Ellie had the penis. Wasn't a fan of it. Went with Dina to vagina city. Not sure what's next for her. But yeah lol 😂

Have you tried no return mode though? Just pure gameplay bliss

This game is my true GOAT

Redfall mixed with DS1 on Steam Deck

I was surprised it was $50. Even the first game is still $60 on Steam. It's amazing. Best third person gun/melee combat combo until Intergalactic come out probably.

I'll not try it myself until post story. The game itself says such. It's recommendations are for those who's beaten the story mode.
Yeah you should definitely play it only after beating the story. I was asking Danjin44 Danjin44 as it seems like a great way to enjoy the game mechanics and intense encounters without having to force yourself through the whole game, if you liked the gameplay, but not the story.

I think I already sold my copy off long time a go and even if I didn't I'm already too busy with Xenoblade X DE.

shocked. This game used to send my base PS4 into orbit with playing it. Sounded like a jet engine.

Now I can play it in silence from my Deck and my eyes 👀 can't distinguish any difference on its screen. I'm aware its resolution is lower. But to my eyes its identical

Best combat ever. The animation and the things that happen naturally, on top of the brutality and intensity, simply put it on another level. Also has the best AI ever on harder difficulties

And in 2020 at launch it was the most insane looking game out there, just all around master class

Was just wondering % wise how far I am

Feels like 4%

But after 7 hours. It's obviously far more
Game took me about 32 hours but I like to take my time and explore, read every message, etc.. That being said, the game felt about 10 hours too long to me, towards the end I couldn't wait to finally be done with it, but it kept dragging on.

Tried it

Nice graphics. Found the game incredibly boring. Zero desire to continue.

I gave up after 2 hours, and decided to watch the story on YT.

The Last Of Us 1 was a much better experience. Better pacing. Better characters. Better story.

It's one of the best games I've ever played, but it's so hard that, even though I want to, I can't wait to replay it. Surely, with the push of the series' second season, I'll get around to it again. It's a masterpiece.

The most advanced game AI ever created. Incredible graphics, controls, UI design, and gameplay design.

BUT

Game outstays it's welcome and constantly tries to one up itself in terms of gore and shock value. It's a 30 hour long snuff film. One of the main characters is completely unlikable, despite the game trying to make you sympathize with her.

I know its $10 upgrade but i can't bring myself to play it again, It was the same for TLOUp1.

Some games are one off games and others are infinitely replayable, Uncharted series on the other hand, they can rerelease and remaster the fuck out of it and I'll get it every time.

I replay at least one of the Uncharted games every year. This year maybe lost legacy, I have only done 1 playthrough of that.

Im 37 yo, and TLOU2 is the GOAT for me. No other games, not even movies, has ever given me such intense (and wonderful) emotions. I believe that young and impulsive people, who still see life through rose-colored glasses, wont be able to fully grasp the message behind the game's story.

Its truly a shame, after all the blind bandwagon hate from the internet, Im afraid it will be difficult for any future game to deliver such a bold and unique narrative like TLOU2 again.

You should to play this game on the two highest difficulty to truly appreciate the depth of its gameplay. Every encounter is extremely intense and suspenseful, especially when facing human enemies. At these difficulty settings, the AI is incredibly smart and realistic: they can detect your slightest movement even from hundreds of meters away, knows how to take cover, move, and hide just like a real player, rather than passively standing still. This is something other stealth action games simply cant replicate.

If it's too challenging, you can switch to a Custom difficulty: set Resources to Medium or Hard; Allies to Easy or Medium. And you should mix up your playstyle with stealth, rambo and melee combat.

Playing it now on PS5 Pro, $10 upgrade. Shocking how good this thing is and it was a last gen game. I'm amazed at the love and care that went into this game (animations, detail, world building, etc). I just started playing as Abby and hope to plat the game before S2 of the show ends. Sad this game was ruined by the internet prior to launch and so many false narratives were put out there. This should've sold more than TLOU1.
As far as i know, launch aligned i'm not sure TLOU1 sold more in 5 years. We haven't got an updated number for both titles in a while.
That said, with season 2 and 3 being all about the second game i'm sure it's selling plenty of units still.
