Why do you continue to watch this and magi when you could be watching a great shounen adaptation like Hunter x Hunter?
Unlike someone of us like myself and most of Latin America who are ensnared in by our childhood nostalgia, aren't you free from it?

Well from that list, Eureka Seven AO was the only one I actually wholeheartedly enjoyed. How did District 9 even win, that was pretty boring of a movie and its plot was hard to swallow.

Hell of an art shift at the end there but Roman's introduction before the final fight had some nice cuts. Not quite the best ending but still good enough to finish out this series.

I do wish the first half was as strong as the second half as this is a really hard sell given how, well, bad it starts out. Poorly animated, lacking in identity and direction, and sometimes just plain weird, I was sure it was going to be a sort of spiritual successor to Musashi Gundoh given the start.
The second half was a surprise though as the shallow characters suddenly found depth, early story events were given meaning as the story itself gained traction, it was generally animated better, and the writing and direction were vastly improved. I think this is a case where overachieving might be the apt description given the show's premise but I'm really glad I stuck with it.
It likely won't happen but I wouldn't mind a second season of this if it could continue building on itself and maintaining the quality of the second half of the first season.

It probably says a lot that this was the first Ghibli project where they handed control over to a bunch of younger guys, including the director, Tomomi Mochizuki and look how many movies he's made for Ghibli since. (Hint: none).The Ocean Waves
This was a neat little 72 minute Ghibli movie even if its production values weren't up to the studios usually incredibly high standards. It's about love triangle between two school friends and a new girl whom recently transfer from Tokyo due to family problems and the bullying and isolation she suffers because she's seen as an "other".The only issue I had with this was the music as it felt kinda weak for the most part but that's about it really. There's also some good bits of slapkuga in this (and even aI'm kinda glad things ended up on a more upbeat note as I was worried they were gonna turn this into some overly melodramatic thing partway through the film but it fortunately didn't devolve into that.) so you can add that as another reason to check this out.big meaty punch!
I wonder if, after the movie came out people began to question if it would ever be possible to hand Ghibli over to a new generation of talent. Considering they chased out Hosoda, undoubtedly one of the most talented directors alive today, I suppose the answer to that is a resounding "no".
Whoops, I've kind of avoided talking about the movie entirely! I really liked and I found the 'drama' and characterisation to be refreshingly naturalistic and down to earth - something that you wouldn't expect from a Studio Ghibli production.
I wish Ghibli as a whole had been more open to experimental projects such as this one. Perhaps, like with major game studios, the need for Ghibli to always make huge blockbuster movie simply to ensure the studios existence has creatively limited them. That and Miyazaki being a horrible control freak.

Hum i just finished watching love live first epidode.
It's not bad and there is a nice chemistry in the characters so far.
Its not great yet but i surely enjoyed this first episode.

I don't really think so as there's actually a handful of shows that might be very watchable next season.
At the very least there will be lots of gifs of ugly CG robots to keep you entertained.

So Onizuka spends this whole episode busting his ass to earn cash to take the entire 3rd year to Okinawa, because for some reason he admitted to stealing money he didn't steal. Mostly to save face. I dunno. It's a thing. Point is even Anko is trying to help Onizuka now, and Miyabi is building up to one hell of a break down.

Okay, so you kill Lockon. Then you replace him with an identical Lockon who is different from him in literally no way at all. AT ALL. And then you bring back to life the one guy Lockon died trying to kill.

this is a hundred million thousand times worse. I mean, I get that Ali al Sanchez, who is supposed to be a weird Arabic Mexican Gauron, but Gauron is established as having an uncanny luck at coming back to life when he ought to be dead. Ali Al Sanchez is just a terrible character brought back because nobody could take Ribbons Hallmark seriously.
At least Saji got slapped like the bitch he's been for 31 episodes.

Look, you can't understand why Sunrise writers do what they do by trying to approach things in a logical manner. You just have to imagine them doing whatever they feel will create more doujinshi and fan excitement!

Sounds like an improvement already.
If you ever get the chance to give Twilight the MST3K treatment with friends or family, do so. That's how I saw the film and I loved it.
Or you can join in the fun, or start helping spread the good word of Doremi.

It's still a nuisance when a disproportionate amount of conversation is on something totally irrelevant to most people in the thread! I can be objective and understand that. I just never expected so many people to decide to watch the same stuff concurrently.

As I believe I've mentioned before, I feel that that's the ideal hypothetical model for a podcast that will probably never happen. Other models, such as working around themes or being free form would probably lead to a chaotic discussion.
The biggest problem with that concept (leaving aside all the normal difficulties with doing a podcast) is that everyone on the show would be required to go watch a series or something, which takes quite a bit of their free time up. The only alternative is to discuss currently airing titles but doesn't everyone do that enough anyway?
Finish Roman as your first step!
Is it really? If people have an issue, they can skim or attempt to engender discussion on something they prefer to talk about.
