Major spoilers ahead for the game and how it's pretty much changed Zelda lore....

The land of Hyrule itself was created to imprison a Lovecraftian monstrosity that makes Demise/Ganon look laughable. They really went all out on this. It's actually nice to see something different for a change in this series.

I agree this should have been a nomination for the game of the year.

It did get nominated as an adventure and family game.

I really liked boss fight against it and I agree it really was nice change of boss fight instead of another Ganon.

I kinda wish the final boss was cooler looking. Not a fan of it's appearance. I know it's suppose to be some lovecraftian abomination but could definitely be designed better especially for what seems to be the most powerful villain so far.

Yeah, it was fun with a new villain and some new major lore. I also think it’s the first time we’ve ever seen the Goddesses talk to us directly, which I assume is because we’re playing as Zelda (Hylia reincarnated).

I’d love to see some Toon Zelda action in the next Smash Bros. I want to fight using beds/summons and make echoes of opponents.
