Oh and I'm very excited about the edgerunners collaboration, but too bad it will happen in 2026... which means it's going to be a long wait still. I guess it's a safe bet that for the collab they'll have David, Lucy, and Rebecca.

Overall, some pretty good stuff announced for this coming anniversary patch even if we don't get a free 5*.

Edit: I take some of what I said back, because I just checked on reddit, and the rewards for this first anni are actually pretty meh. Like 25 "free" pulls and 10 banner reruns with no 100% guaranteed means I'm going to skip them all. Will save all my pulls for Ciaccona.

So in total 12 Banners in one patch, thats insane, too bad its 50/50. Stacked patch with QoL section, but the rewards seem underwheling (unless the events give out a lot of asterites) theres not even a good new weapon, but we just got a 5* sword for Rover so w/e. This kind of feels like a perfect patch for whales, reddit seems very pissed off.

Ive got about 400 pulls right now saved for Ciacconia and Cathethiya + her sig, too bad i dont want any of the reruns, save for maybe Carlottas weapon, not sure what to do. Ill go for Zani on her rerun.

I haven't watched the stream yet, but god damn did Kuro disappoint here. They had the ball rolling with this game in 2.0+, after a really rocky start. With this news, they essentially popped the ball.

Incredible levels of mismanagement by the decision makers at Kuro. Can't wait to see the pushback they're about to get from the CN community, they earned it.

So this time around, I decided to grab my PS Portal with me on my trip so I could play all the other gachas besides WuWa that I didn't install on my phone. The wifi connection where I'm at isn't that great, but surprisingly the streaming quality and latency to my PS5 Pro back home are very good.

Tbh, I'm just glad I can do all the daily and weekly stuff without needing to install all the Hoyo gachas on my phone.

Edit: I still prefer not to depend on remote play and/or streaming, so I hope hoyo at least begins to port all their gachas to the Switch 2 asap.

Finished the story. Man, that was an incredible character story. I didn't like the exploration and gameplay part of it though - the art and visual design is great, but it's essentially an empty floating platforms and there's nothing going on all the way through aside from a few boss fights and character conversations. I get that they wanted the story to be a bit more intimate since you can't even bring anyone with you, but I felt kinda bored exploring these floating platforms tbh, just like during the last part of the story with Phoebe. But honestly, the not so great gameplay part of the last two main story updates pales in comparison to the fishing event and everything around it - ugh, what a borefest and tedious slog, won't be wasting my time with it at all.

It wasn't much of an issue to get 70%+ Crit Rate for the Aero Rover, but sadly, the new and much better looking sword (in comparison to standard S rank one I've been using) Cantarella gifted to her is tuned towards energy regeneration which is fine, but it means that I'll lose ~22% of Crit Rate and I've no one to pair her Aero state with and fully use it as well as the new Aero echo set, so I've no choice but to wait for proper S rank Aero character similar to Phoebe to resonate with her on the same level, hopefully Ciaccona will be exactly what I need. Like, I've Jianxin already, but I don't really like her combat kit at all.

All in all, Rover's Spectro state in terms of combat (basic and heavy attacks) is complete and utter trash in comparison to her new Aero state - they should've gave her much better Spectro kit in 2.0. Man, what an effin' difference visually and in terms of what you can do, plus the new 4 slot Fleurdelys's sword echo is a blast to use as well as the resonance skill - looks incredible. The downside of the Aero state though is that it uses a shit ton of stamina, so stamina management is very important even during fights with regular mobs and elites (not to mention bosses) and it completely changes how you play, which is a good thing.

Plus Rover can now heal herself a bit with the fully charged heavy attack. Oh well, I guess I'm stuck with Phoebe and shitty Spectro state for now, which doesn't mean that I hate or don't like Phoebe, actually quite the opposite, I like her and her combat kit a lot, but sadly and for now I don't have a choice. Don't tell me guys that Zani and Ciaccona will be both released with the next update, cuz that would be horrible since I hate using Spectro Rover basic combat kit and I can't and will not have both Zani and Ciaccona, cuz it'll be near impossible while being F2P and given how terrible the end game is in WuWa.

Uh, I might end up skipping Zani...

In PGR, Kuro's other game, you can 100% guarantee previous S-ranks (basically 5 stars in Wuwa) and you can pick any character that came 2 patches prior to the anniversary banner as a target. Why couldn't they do this?

It's a complete U-turn comparing to what they have been doing so far.

Theyve seriously missed by not having Carthethiya headlining this one if you ask me, right after the 2.2 story no less.

IDK how much the skins will cost, but if its like Jinshis then theyre overpriced. I also think Carlottas looks less cool than (good thing imo), but no doubt itll sell very well.

I'm glad I stopped playing this. Came here to check if it was worth getting back in for the anniversary stuff but nope. My only regret is that I didn't stop playing Genshin way earlier like this. Could have saved me a lot of money.

I'm really curious to see what they do here. The cut of the swimsuit pictured is almost exactly like Fleurdelys' leotard, so I have zero faith in them delivering on it (and/or not post-launch censoring it). I'm perpetually confused about their marketing/management teams decisions lately. All the stingy rewards, 50/50 on anni banners, pushing out "sexy" right after censoring "sexy". The age rating whack-a-mole, etc.

Regardless of how the anniversary ends up when we get more of that "Devs Listened!" bullshit, I'm seriously hesitant with this game and its management.

Also, looks like we can add anniversaries to this growing list of Kuro copying miHoYo.

I am glad this is getting posted everywhere in Kuro's face though. One small solace.

Like, Nikke devs will be giving away 100 pulls soon, just like that, and Kuro can't do that one time to let people pull at least one character from this ridiculous 12 character banner while at the same time running 2 new banners? And weapons are absolutely out of question for everyone unless you haven't pulled for like 1-2 updates or going to buy 2 packs with enough pulls.

ZZZ even gives away completely new character for free in 2.0, I mean, nobody cares about Panda and he'll probably be bad, but it doesn't matter. At least run booth new banners for 40+ days simultaneously and let people gather enough pulls for at least one of 'em but nope, of course there's two phases with 20 days between each. Ugh.

They have to turn this shit around somehow and better do it right within a week.

At this point I don't fuckin' care about more rewards and will be more than happy with just 40+ days period for both new banners (Zani and Ciaccona), cuz that means I can 100% pull Zani instead of pulling for Ciaccona - again, I like her, I really do, but I'll be pulling for her only cuz I can't get Zani, not cuz I want her instead of Zani.

What other options do they have? Give away for free one of the 1.0 characters? Who fuckin' need those one year later? Fuck 'em! You can't even pick one if you already did in the past anyway. If anything, it should be free selector from 12 characters banner, that's just the bair fuckin' minimum they should do and no increase in terns of rewards will be needed.

There's gonna be a echo modifier, which allows you to modify the echo's main stat, and also an update to GPU's list in order to achieve 120 fps (strangely they don't mention CPUs this time around).

If they end up making one of the 12 rerun banners 100% guaranteed, or even free, I might go for Phoebe for Zani's sake.

Otherwise, we get Zani and her weapon and close up shop.

I'm already ~12-13 pulls deep after losing 50/50 and will potentially hit 20+ before all these login rewards will go live, so I only have to get ~20 pulls at least before Zani's banner will bite the dust. I don't want to get ahead of myself here, cuz I might still miss a few pulls here and there, but I guess I have to get as much pulls from the already available content to make sure it won't happen

It would be nice to get a free character from the 12 character banner as well to save my Rover from horrible Spectro prison, but it looks like it ain't happening.

Free Ciaccona is the real answer here. Somebody that's new for both new and old players, (probably) a key part of the Cartethiya team, not likely to be a high selling banner on her own. It just fits all of the pieces to make it the right decision at this point. I don't think they will actually do it, though.

I'm betting we get a Standard selector, some more free pulls, and maybe they'll do the 100% guarantee rerun thing for your first pity on the rerun banners. Not a damn thing exciting about any of that, but I still think that's what we'll get.

I often wonder why companies don't copy FGO for anniversaries. A (paid) banner you roll where you're guaranteed to get one of out of a selection of characters after the 10 pull. Seems like it makes everyone happy, well unless you get dupes of characters you don't want. But you can always let players pick 3-4 characters then you're guaranteed to get 1 out of that pool.

Anyways, I'm interested to see what they do here. With so many big name high budget gachas coming out in the near future, I think this was disastrous for WuWa. Time will tell. I predict under 1mil/month in a few months and down from there.
